Arizona Grand Resort

We play this course every year when we are in AZ. It has always been one of our favorite courses, until this year. Midday pace of play was ok at 4 1/2 hours. Starter did not orientate us to cart path rules, water on course or bathrooms. The carts were our biggest disappointment, needing drastic upgrades. No windshields and still needing to set a brake which didn’t always work. No driving range. For a resort course that charges a premium rate, money needs to be invested!

Always love to play this course when in phoenix. Becoming obvious they need some upgrades. Stairs to the woman’s tee boxes are falling apart, cart paths need repair and the outside of the restrooms on the course are falling apart. Fairways are in good shape and greens ok. No GPS on the carts on a course of this caliber is surprising.

We have always loved this course. This time we were paired with 2 singles. One had his girlfriend as a ride along who started golfing with us on the 2nd hole making us a 5 some then their 10 year old joined them on the 13th hole putting. The other was loud and obnoxious after a few cocktails and forgot all golf etiquette rules. No ranger noticed and would be tough to bring it to their attention.

Always enjoy playing this course when down here for the winter. Only issue this year is that they had younger kids as starters and every time we played here they were totally disorganized.

Called ahead because we were going to be late. Golf shop very gracious and accommodating. Course was in good shape. Nothing challenging but many fun little par 3's. Only problem was that play was so slow that it took us 4 hours to play a course that should have taken no more than 3.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course.
