Astor Creek Golf & Country Club
Played On 04/19/2024Pristine but plain
It’s a brand new course - and the conditions are basically flawless. Fairways are wide open. Bunkers are fluffy white and greens are smooth. Water is more of an accent than a threat. Staff were friendly and I went out as a solo and played in three hours. Carts are awesome - with GPS and tv/music. Problem is the course is super flat - no raised tee boxes, zero elevation changes, few trees and fewer doglegs. It’s not surrounded by homes yet - but they are coming.
Irving Golf Club
Played On 04/16/2024A Must Play Muni
This is a fun, wide open, well conditioned course that was a lot of fun to play. Elevation changes, brush and just a few water obstacles provide the challenge. Greens are good and tricky. Carts have GPS. Practice facilities include several putting greens and a full size driving range off the grass or mats. Staff were friendly and I paired up with another guy who made the day a blast. Relax with some food and grab a seat in the rocking chairs.
The Saints At Port St Lucie
Played On 03/24/2024Thought course would be better
Staff were friendly - got me as a single out early. Pace of play for a busy Sunday was fine - finished in 4 1/2 hrs. Pro shop had plenty to choose from. But I had read lots about the course being redone - and honestly I couldn’t tell. Conditions were average. Still plenty of dry/dirt spots. Weeds here and there. Some greens had places to park your cart - others didn’t. Traps were ok - not exactly pretty white sand. It just looked like a used muni. For the right - low price - it’s worth playing.
Baytree National Golf Links
Played On 03/16/2024Decent course - slow Saturday
Course is better than when played three weeks ago. Tee boxes have more grass - so do the fairways. Greens are in good shape - some bunkers are still just dirt. The layout is challenging.
Two holes are not my style. One where your second shot has a blind carry and another hole that turns one way - then back the other way and has a blind tee shot. Played as a twosome. Three groups in front of us were incredibly slow and nothing was done. Almost 5-hour round - ugh - and with a ranger it was avoidable. Stocked pro shop - good restaurant. Generally friendly people.
Crane Watch Club
Played On 03/10/2024Still OK
Crane Watch is a nice layout with enough water and bunkers to keep you thinking - but enough space to keep you swinging hard. I've played it twice within a few months. There has been a lot of talk about the owner making improvements - but the tractors sitting on the golf course appear to be collecting dust. Traps, tee boxes and fairways are average. Greens are hit or miss - some with bare spots, some with weeds. Staff are friendly and its a laid-back crowd. No starter at all this time.
Baytree National Golf Links
Played On 03/01/2024Nice layout - poor conditions
This clearly could be a really nice course - it’s just in really bad shape. Tee boxes are dirt. Fairways are thin to put it kindly. Some traps are nice white sand - others are just raked dirt. Greens are in good shape. Had a tourney playing in front of me - that killed pace if play. Five-hour round. No ranger. Group in front of us were very slow - left several holes ahead empty. One of the carts in our group died on the 12th hole. It’s a nice layout - but don’t play until conditions greatly improve.
Hello, jorden17. Thank you for leaving us a review. We are sorry to hear your experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you will give us another try in the future. Thank you for choosing Baytree National Golf Links.
Viera East Golf Club
Played On 02/16/2024Play here
This course is both challenging and extremely fair. Want to rip a driver - have at it. Want to play precise golf - it’s there for you. Course is in excellent condition. Greens are fast and tricky. Staff was friendly. Pro shop stocked. Starter kept things moving - even on a busy Friday. Just an overall good time.
East at Orangebrook Country Club
Played On 01/26/2024Fair and fun
First off - I was supposed to play East, but as a single they decided to send me out with a group on West. Staff were friendly. Proshop was stocked and saw the cart girl several times. Tee boxes and fairways were in decent shape - greens need some help - sand, dry spots and weeds got in the way sometimes. Layout was good with a few twists and turns. And a par-3 with a double water carry. Plenty of giant Iguanas, Egrets and even a raccoon made for good company. Great rate made it more than worth it.
Delray Beach Golf Club
Played On 01/20/2024Not bad and trying to get better
Staff were friendly and helpful. As a single - starter was able to pair me up and get me out early. Course is in decent shape and you could tell they were making improvements. The greens were above avg compared to several municipals I’ve played recently. Layout is flat, with several doglegs. Very little water or forced carries - which is refreshing. Almost every green protected by bunkers. Fairways and tee boxes need some work. Pro shop stocked. Full length driving range. Carts need upgrade and no GPS. With a good rate from GolfNow - good times.
Country Club of Miami - East
Played On 01/12/2024Plenty of better options
The good - staff were friendly, and pace of play was fine. The ugly - everything else. Tee boxes chewed up; fairways full of dirt, mud and crabgrass; greens were useless - full of sand, bird poop, dry spots and weed clumps. The course does have plenty of practice facilities - putt, pitch and drive - but to call each one sloppy is being kind. Compare this muni to Okeeheelee - a muni in Palm Beach County and it’s not even close.
Lost Lake Golf Club
Played On 01/05/2024Great course - tough first time around
Staff were very friendly and helpful including the pro shop staff and starter. This is clearly a classy operation. Free range balls, full-size range, chipping area and putting green. Course was very well kept. It has some challenging twists and turns. Plenty of water and sand to dodge. Greens ran fast. Foursome played the round in four hours. Sank a 25-footer on 18th - plenty reason to come back.
Irving Golf Club
Played On 04/16/2024A Muni Must
Course is in very good shape. Tee boxes could use a little work - but fairways had plenty of grass and greens were excellent - but quite tricky. This course is wide open and forgiving, but not without the occasional challenge. There are a couple water carries and several strategically placed bunkers. There are also several elevation changes which make for some great views - minus the notorious power lines. I played as a pair - and we finished well before four hours. Employees were pleasant. Carts had GPS - but they cut out on you when you went somewhere off course - that’s annoying. All in all a really good time on a really good course.
Delray Beach Golf Club
Played On 04/06/2024Used up muni
Heard employees mention they were going to redo numerous greens during the Summer. It couldn’t come soon enough. Weeds, dirt and gouges all over most greens. Fairways and tee boxes are thin to say the least. Bunkers are decent. Staff is friendly and low rates keep the course busy - but moving well. Gas golf carts with no GPS. Driving range off mats - many missing tees. This course needs a rest to catch up.
ChampionsGate Country Club
Played On 03/31/2024Come Play ChampionsGate CC
This is a fun course in very good condition. Staff were warm, friendly and organized. The course is fair and challenging. Plenty of grass on the fairways, the bunkers were consistent and the greens ran true. The back nine required more accurate shotmaking. Carts were comfy, modern and had GPS. As a single I was paired up with a great group of guys who made the experience an overall great time - even if I didn’t have my best game.
Dunes at Sandridge Golf Club
Played On 02/09/2024Tight course and overbooked
The course itself was in very good condition. Greens were mostly smooth. Staff were friendly - but even the starter couldn’t figure out how so many tee times were scheduled. Because of the crowd - you waited on every shot. Almost a five hour round. It was extremely frustrating. Fairways were narrow and flat lies were hard to find. If you like to hit three 7irons in a row to every green, point to point golf is for you and you will enjoy this course. Otherwise - head elsewhere. And everyone - I mean everyone - said the adjacent Lakes Course was much harder.
East at Orangebrook Country Club
Played On 02/02/2024Work to be done
Friendly staff, especially the starters who do a great job keeping a busy course moving. Tee boxes and fairways in decent shape but greens need a lot of work. Cart girl was making her rounds. Pro shop was stocked. Driving range lacks tees in most bays. All in all a decent round that can definitely get better.
Country Club of Miami - East
Played On 01/12/2024Better options almost anywhere
The good - employees were friendly, pace of play was good and layout is decent. The ugly - everything else. Tee boxes are messed up. Fairways have more dirt, mud and weeds than grass. Greens are a disaster. Dirt spots, clumps of crabgrass and sand. They are basically useless. And although the course has plenty of practice facilities - drive, chip and putt - all three are sloppy to say the least.
Harmony Golf Preserve
Played On 12/15/2023Your golf game should be in Harmony
Can’t get much better all around for the price and time of year. Great rate on GolfNow. Starter was organized and friendly - got me out as a single. Course was in excellent shape - very green. Greens had some slope and ran smooth. Heard they had removed some bunkers - making the course much more playable. For every water carry there was a way around it. Played in some wind and drizzle - honestly made the round even more fun. Cart girl was friendly and frequent. Golf shop was fully stocked - plenty of snacks to keep you going. I drove 2Hrs to play here and it was worth every second.
Martin Downs Country Club - Osprey Creek Course
Played On 12/08/2023Talk about letting a course go
First the good - decent rate on Golfnow and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Now the bad - the course is a disaster. Crabgrass, weeds, sand and dirt spots everywhere including the greens. Cart paths are cracked and broken everywhere. Tee boxes are a mess. Par 3s are all water carry with no options to get around. Water level is low almost everywhere- making it more like a swamp than lakes. Traps were compacted - it was like hitting off pavement. It’s a shame considering previous reviews.
Atlantis Country Club
Played On 10/16/2023Definitely Worth Playing
I was a single and had the first tee time. The starter saw I was ready to go and wouldn’t slow anyone down so he let me go off on my own. Less than 2 and 1/2 hours later I was done. The course was in very good condition. The greens had a very few bare spots but ran smooth and were fast. It was a nice layout. Water came into play on a few holes, but there were lots of strategically placed bunkers. Fully stocked clubhouse. Staff were friendly. You could see they took pride in caring for this course.
Thanks so much for your wonderful review, jorden17. We are thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed your time with us. Please visit again soon. Thanks for choosing Atlantis Country Club!
