This is not a typical tract. It is misnamed. Not even close to a Links Course. Not it's strength. It is about accuracy, shot placement. If you try to overpower it, it will bite back hard. Holes are well designed for risk reward at it's best. Only 18 is a bit weird as it is long with a very hard approach shot. Greens were a bit shaggy, slow. But for those two points, she'd be a five star for sure.

There is plenty of interesting terrain to make this a grand golf course. But the design is poor. Both holes crossing the ponds make no sense. Unless you play the course many times. And even then, the greens carved out of the hillsides make a poor challenge. Then when the course gets out of the gully up top, just long boring holes. There are some interesting holes. And the staff was very friendly.
But nothing lasts forever without upgrades, improvements.

Wonderfully maintained, interesting layout. Plenty of challanges to keep you from just swinging away blindly off the tee. Well places shots are rewarded. One par four was reduced to a par three because of renovations. We are ok with that because we see so many courses that need upgrades, restoration and just don't get it. Everyone working there was on point and friendly.

This course is not as narrow as shown on their website. Nothing like the "super skiney" Links course next door. There are plenty of situations where you have to manage your shots. But that is fun. It is a good track pretty well maintained. The tee boxes could use a bit more soil although not bad just bumpy. The greens are interesting, well sloped but shaggy.
Sand was wet and dense. Be careful of bladed shots especially where the other side of the green drops into water. Overall a very nice course. Will play again.

We enjoyed our round. The course is coming along nicely. Grass is greening up. Overseeded areas are growing well. Greens were a little slow but true and green. Much better management then most at keeping the lazy slobs from driving their golf carts right up to the greens. They actually had ropes and signs. Really nice people running the place. The only negative was one of the players left his wallet in a golf cart. It was found and turned into management. But when the player went to claim his wallet, it couldn't be found along with a large sum of cash, all missing. Really??!!. At present, management still has not made it good. And the player is a long term member there. Management needs to Man Up. There is definitly a thief within the employees.

.....time for a nap on each tee. Soooo slow. Over a five hour round. Greens are good. Little slow but true. Fairways thin. Off fairways, very thin. Most tee boxes were good. No help on the card or cart for where the course goes. Staff friendly. Good practice area, grass to hit from.

Good: two people really know what they are doing, the head greens keeper and the head waitress. Except for the tee boxes on the front, course and especially the greens were great.
Bad: two people that have no clue what they are doing, the manager and the head pro. Can't pay for your round until just before you tee off. They will not take your money. And no cart keys until you pay. Really? Can't get to and from the driving range? Chipping green? No off loading area for cars / clubs. Many folks carrying their own clubs from their car, through the parking lot, around the club house to load a cart that wasn't there for them. What a mess.....

Very well run operation. Nice people. course was in fine shape. Greens running nice and fast. Only knock is players not fixing their ball marks. Wish more folks would fallow the twofer edicate.......make one mark, fix two. Tee boxes and fairways, really good. Some holes are target, most you can smack the driver around. Fun game.
Good practice area. Irons off of matts on the range though.
