With summer temperatures nearing 100 degrees and with no rainfall in the past few months, I was extremely impressed with the exquisite course conditions at OCC. The greens, fairways, and rough were in excellent shape. OCC provides a refreshing parkland-style layout which is a welcome change from high desert target golf. Wayward shots can be saved by trees or even found on adjacent holes. Brand new EZGO carts provide accurate distances to front, middle, and back, though an upgrade to display green contours would be appreciated by higher-skilled players. Even compared with against the premium private facility in Sedona, OCC stands at the top of my list for overall playability and fun.
