Coral Oaks Golf Course
Played On 02/24/2020Needs a lot of work
Every area has its goat track golf courses but they are usually less expensive to play than is Coral Oaks. A course can be a goat track based solely on course condition but relating coarse condition to green fee is what makes Coral Oaks a goat track for track for me.
Grass is sparse and there is no evidence that new grass is being planted or that fertilizer is being applied or that greens have been plugged for a long time.. In the hotter months tees are predominantly sand. Leaves under trees are allow to lie rather than collected and removed. Cart paths are deteriorating.
Coral Oaks is a municipal course and might be starved for money from the city. Looking at Indeed.com for jobs advertised at the course might provide a hint as to where the city is spending its money at Coral Oaks. A cursory visit to the Cape Coral HR or Indeed.com sites indicates that there are several six figure jobs there, which to my experience is unheard of for a course of this nature and condition..
All-in-all this is a course where one can play a round of golf but not necessarily enjoy a round of golf.
