Bear Mountain Golf and Country Club - Mountain
Played On 04/02/2016Worth the ferry ride!
The tee boxes were not in good shape. Also the fairways were still wet. That day it was cart path only. But I could see in the summer this course being super pristine and playing tough. Keep it out of the thick rough! Jack made this course very challenging. I felt that hitting different clubs off the tee was a different change of pace from hitting driver 14 times. I was disappointed that it was early in the season so #10 did not have water surrounding the island green!
Bear Mountain Golf and Country Club - Valley
Played On 04/02/2016I Prefer Valley to the Mountain
I really enjoyed the layout and that every hole was picturesque. I liked that there were signs describing nature in the area. There were some challenging shots for sure. Elevation changes on par 3s and some tricky uphill greens made for a fun round.
Bandon Trails
Played On 01/02/2016Not on the Ocean but still worth playing
I recommend playing aggressive on #8 and try to drive the green if you have the range! This course is different than the other 3 courses as its not a links style but more traditional. I prefer playing these courses because you are not fighting 3 feet high wasteland rough. In my opinion, golfers will either love or hate this course layout.
Bear Mountain Ranch
Played On 09/05/2015Scenic Views of Lake Chelan
I found this course on accident when looking at courses near Gamble Sands. It was the best golf accident ever. Not only is Lake Chelan one of the best lakes in the country/ world, Bear Mountain has captured my heart as an avid golfer. The most memorable holes are the ones with views of Lake Chelan in the background such as the downhill #4 par 4. The customer service was top notch. Von always takes care of us. The snack bar makes awesome sandwiches!
