Among the Best Greens in the DFW Metroplex

Got up early to squeeze in a round right about dawn. Finished in 3 hours and enjoyed the outstanding course conditions, which are consistently up there with the best public courses in the DFW Metroplex. Please keep up the marvelous care of the course, Pecan Hollow!

Needs some TLC

Played TC today, about 1-1/2 weeks after aerification according to the starter. The greens were still a little bumpy but generally in better shape than some other courses around town. My only couple of disappointments with Twin Creeks are: 1) Put just a reasonable amount of effort into maintaining the tee boxes (most tee boxes either had excessive weeds that should be easy to remove, excessive bare spots that could be addressed by just reseeding and watering, general shagginess -- just need to be mowed better, or tons of broken tees all over the box that could only build up after a couple weeks -- this just confirms that nobody from Maintenance is even stepping foot on the tee boxes, or these would be swept up); 2) several apparent broken sprinklers around the course that lead to excessive flooding of areas and major mud holes; 3) total absence of marshaling -- some persuasion is needed to prevent slow groups from backing up multiple groups on a stifling hot day. GENERAL COMMENT: With the amazing number of beautiful homes all around this course, I just can't believe that Arcis doesn't choose to feature Twin Creeks GC as one of its premiere courses and attract some of the local residents

Welcome Back Creek Course!

I was very pleased that the city of Carrollton chose to bring back the Indian Creek - Creek course after the Spring 2016 flood damage. Until the last couple of years, I had taken for granted how excellent the Creek course is. Having started playing significantly more golf at many courses in and around the Metroplex in the past few years, it's just clear that the conditions at the Creek course are top-notch (quality and care for the greens/fairways/tee boxes, course layout, etc). The staff at Indian Creek seems to have done an excellent job restoring the conditions to their pre-flood excellence. The only aspect of Indian Creek that could use some attention is the rough ride of the carts. Given some bumps and humps throughout the Creek course, the carts seem to have an absence of shocks in the suspension. Welcome Back Creek course!

One of a few local favorites

One fantastic thing about the DFW metroplex is the incredible number of courses to choose from, but if I ever had to settle for only 2-3 courses I had to play, Westridge would be on that list. Easy access in the northern part of the metroplex, great layout (6 holes each for pars 3-4-5), big open fairways but plenty of challenges with water and sand, excellent course maintenance, new golf carts that actually still have GPS, and so on.

Great course. Don't play until they've eliminated fly infestation

Normally a very enjoyable course, but two big drawbacks on this round:
1) Local HS golf team was on-course for front 9; at least 10 groups on foot really slowed down play; prevented completion of 18.
2) Biting flies pestered us the entire round; had hoped it was just a swarm on the first couple of holes, but we were bitten throughout the 15 holes we managed to complete

Great rate. NIce course

Excellent rate, course in great condition. Staff always friendly. Conditions a little tough, as the greens are super-firm, but the fringes are super-soft, meaning you can't roll long approach shots from the front edge nor hit the greens to check up. Made for a lot of roll-offs or plugs at the front of greens, with very few GIR's, even when hitting a great approach.
