Disney's Magnolia Golf Course
Played On 05/04/2019Tough test, but enjoyable round!
Course was in very good shape and the staff was very friendly.
I'm a 5 handicap who played both the Palms and Magnolia this week, and the Magnolia plays significantly longer and tougher. Good variety of holes, and while tough, it's still fun to play.
The rates are a little stiff for non-residents (something that is consistently true of Disney!), but overall it was an enjoyable round.
Disney's Palm Golf Course
Played On 05/02/2019Like many things, Disney does golf well!
Course was in very good shape. Nice layout and very friendly staff.
The course is a good test for players of all levels, but has generous landing areas and multiple tees to choose from.
The rates are a little stiff for non-residents (another thing that is consistently true of Disney!), but all in all it was an enjoyable experience.

I'll start with the good... Nothing wrong with the course layout. Some good variety of holes and landscape. Also, we played very quickly because the course was virtually empty on the Monday morning we teed off...
Beyond that, not a lot of great things to say... Conditioning was below average... Fairways and greens were patchy, and the tees were poor / even bare in spots. Beyond the subpar conditions though, when I checked my receipt the following day I noticed a 4% "service fee" added to the greens fees I paid. I'm assuming this was because I paid by credit card, but it's really shady to charge people that fee and not even notify them about it.
Definitely plenty of affordable places in ORL to play where the overall experience is better.
Stonecreek Golf Club
Played On 03/11/2019Good mid-level course
Not likely that anything about his course will blow you away, but not much will disappoint you either.
Course was in solid shape, friendly staff, good (although not terribly unique) layout.
Bunkers were a little washed out / lacking sand in spots, but overall a very playable and enjoyable golf course in a good location.
Golden Sands Golf Community
Played On 06/23/2014G Sands
This has been a family favorite for many years... Not a difficult course, but a fun one every time out. This year, there have clearly been some maintenance issues due to the very wet spring. There are quite a few dead areas on several fairways, and smaller ones on 2 or 3 greens... Aside from that, the greens rolled very smooth (although a bit slow), and the discounted price was a great value. There's not a lot of choice for golf in this area, and Golden Sands is probably the busiest course in the area for a reason... We'll still be playing it years from now I'm sure!
Fairways of Woodside Golf Course
Played On 06/08/2014Tale of 2 nines...
First time to this course in a while, and it's what I remembered. Overall, the course was in pretty good shape, including greens that rolled very true. The most intriguing thing about this course is the difference between front and back. The front is straight forward, not real tough, and you can log a good score. The back nine is very long, very tough, and even for a good player, double bogeys are a possibility on almost every hole. If you're only playing 9, ask to play the side that best suits your game. One last thing: while it's a relatively flat course which should be good for walkers, there are several spots with REALLY long distance between holes, making it difficult for those who aren't pretty fit. All in all, a solid course for a decent price.
Revere Golf Club - Lexington Course
Played On 02/23/2014Lexington course is very challenging, but enjoyable. Probably to tough for the weekend warrior...
Lots of forced carries, super-firm (hard to hold) greens, and ???make this a tough challenge for the high-handicapper. Course was in good shape, and the views of surrounding areas and the distant Las Vegas strip were great. An enjoyable course to play if you've got some game.
Wolf at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
Played On 02/20/2014Remote, but great layout, conditioning, and views...
Played the Wolf on the first day of a recent trip to Vegas. Course in great shape (only exception was the 15th island green, which was still recovering from recent flooding). Greens firm, but ran very true. Beautiful natural views and an incredibly friendly / helpful staff. Plenty of challenges on the course, but a very fair test that awards good shots. It's a pretty good drive from the Vegas strip, but it's worth the trip. Definitely would consider coming back to play the Wolf again or try the other two courses.
