Absolute Gem, Great Price!

We wanted to try a course that was outside of the normal suggested courses like Indian Wells and the La Quinta courses. Indian Canyons was 10 mins away from where we were staying in Palm springs and was a good deal on Golfnow. What a beautiful lush course with generous fairways and easy tee shots that allow for driver on every par 4/5. It was still cart path only as they were still coming out of overseeding but there are a ton of yardage markers that make it easy to gauge distances. The greens were the slowest greens I’ve ever played as they are letting them grow out but you’ll adjust after a few holes. We played the south course but members said the North course was just as nice or nicer. We played from the tips as it was a shorter course at 6500 yards from the tips. We’ll be back.

Another Beautiful Troon Track

Booked this course as a warm up course for the beginning of our golf trip. It turned out to be more than an easy warm up course. It was in perfect condition tee to green. The greens were cut the same morning for the first time coming out of overseeding so they were a little bumpy but not a big deal. Easy course off the par 4 & 5 tees (We played the tips), but the greens were the equalizer. Not having a beverage cart was a disappointment and the turnaround shack wasn’t stocked with any whiskey at all (we’re Canadian so...). Saw the marshal several times. Highly recommend the course. Will play again.

Beautiful Course Worth The Extra Dollars

This was my first time playing the Phoenician. Some people will compare the new layout to the old one but I have ncomparison to make. First off, I have to mention that we got the tee time in TeeOff.com for $82.00 each vs. The $160 on the Phoenicians website. That being said, I would have splurged and paid the full price after actually seeing the immaculate condition of the course. It’s a Troon managed course which pretty much says it all. I’ve never golfed a bad Troon course. The greens were pretty inconsistent as a result of the course renovation. Some were rock hard and laser fast while the next would be soft and slow. The general feeling around the club is pretty snooty and they definitely notice if you are a player who has booked with one of the online services. We overheard the staff at the bag drop mention the fact we were an online teetime. Overall the course was one of nicest courses I’ve played in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.

The Best Public Accessible Course Around Palm Springs

This course was in amazing shape and invited driver off every tee with the huge fairways. The greens were very fast and tough to hold. A short tee shot will be met with a 200+ yard second shot into a fast undulating green. Stay out of the bunkers as they are extremely punishing. Lots of places to stay refreshed on every other hole. The entrance into the bag drop off area was not clear at all. Just turn at the “grill” sign and head upstairs to the pro shop. Will play again whenever possible.

A Gem Worth The Price!!!!!

Firecliff is an immaculate course that invites driver off of every tee with its huge fairways. The equalizer are the greens as they are laser fast and andulating if you don’t hit the right spot on the green. Very little break on most putts even though to the eye, it looks like there is break. The pace really slowed down toward the end as the resort golfers in front of us slowly succumbed to the heat. Seen the beverage cart twice in 18 holes. The food on the deck was great! Just a heads up if your a socialable person, most guests we came across at the clubwere not. I would recommended this course over either Indian Wells Course.

Nice Course, Not Worth The Money

The Players course at Indian Wells was underwhelming after hearing and seeing so much fanfare about the course. The course was in great condition and the Marshal was on the ball keeping slower groups moving. My complaints pertain to the cost and what you get in the course. I’ve golfed several high end muni’s that are on Par with the players course at half the price. The check in was slow with the computer system issues which was no fault of the pro-shop staff. Extremely expensive drinks on the cart as well. Won’t be back unless there are better deals to be had.

Great Option For All Golfers

This course was recommended by a friend who had heard that we booked at much pricier courses like Indian Wells and Desert Willow Firecliff. After golfing those pricier courses, I can honestly say Escena is a fantastic deal compared to pricier courses and the course is in amazing shape. It’s hard to find any deals in Palm Springs this time of year, so Escena is a fantastic option.

Beautiful surprise

We had time till our flight so we booked Braeben on Golfnow. What a nice surprise. The course was lush, the greens were perfect and the staff are very friendly. The rentals were nice Nike Vapour's. Being used to paying 100-120$ a round out west, we had no issues with price and the cost of the round at Braeben. The layout is awesome and deserves a visit by anyone looking for a course in or near Mississauga.

We played on 1 SEP 2017(Friday), pace was very slow. Worst is Marshall "Jorge" asked golfer behind us to hit driver while we are still at fairway. Ball land 8 yeards in front of us. Jorge said that's only way to speed up the game!!!

NO NEVER PLAY IN THIS COURSE AGAIN!

Beautiful Course with lots of Cool History

First off I'd like to say that this course was lush in the areas that needed to be lush. If you're off the fairway or way off the green complexes, the grass is patchy. Not a huge issue. The housing around the course is dated to say the least, but your on the course not in the houses. This course and the clubhouse have a vintage, classic untouched feel to them which is kind of refreshing. The course was in great condition, the greens were fantastic and the staff were awesome. Go early and have breakfast. For 8$ you can have an amazing breakfast and go golf a classic course with a ton of history for 65$ on Golfnow. The house on the left side of the first fairway with the pink trim is the house from Casino. Like I said before, tons of cool history.

Fantastic Course!

Booked with Golfnow. Having golfed courses like Rio Secco, the Revere Lexington course is comparable with respect to value and what you get. We paid 65$ and the course was lush, weaved through a nice residential area through valleys. The staff was extremely friendly as were the members. The pace of play was slow as there wasn't a marshal and we had a group in front of us that had little golf etiquette. Be aware of your yardages even with a rangefinder as the elevation changes and wind will take you through fairways. Not many holes where driver makes sense. Great course completely overseeded and lush with lightning fast bent grass greens. Remember the other Revere course doesn't completely overseed and leaves the rough dormant.

Pleasant Surprise

Driving up I-95 it doesn't look anything special. Once you are on the property it really is impressive. The course was green tee to green including fairways. Windy but a wise man once told me "wind has little effect on a well struck ball". It was a very enjoyable round. I'll be back.

An affordable gem

Me and my girlfriend golfed this course in 3.5 hrs and the place was packed with a cart path only rule in effect. The course was coming out of overseeding and the only hint were the shaggy greens. They told us and we knew what to expect. The course is lush, greens will be awesome when they finally cut them and the staff we extremely friendly. There was a little bit of chaos getting our cart and range balls as only one guy was working the starting area, but other than this issue, the course is amazing. My girlfriend is just starting golf and found the course great and unintimidating from the Reds and I shot from the tips and found it challenging enough. This course compares to any of the desert courses I've played for 100$+. At 60$ on Golfnow it's a deal. Warning!!!! When they do cut the greens, the last time I played there, they were running 12-13 so expect lightning fast greens in a month or so.

Great views, terrible pace of play

Keep in mind that this is a tight course that weaves throughout mountains and is exposed as much as it is protected from winds. The day we golfed, the winds were 20mph, so a high handicapper would have had issues as the course has many elevation changes in conjunction with swirling winds. We made the last tee time thinking we would be fine and be finished before we lost sunshine. Unfortunately we had a group of high handicappers in front of us hitting off the championship tees. Needless to say, we finished the 18th guessing where our balls were after each shot due to darkness. There was no Marshall or any staff at all seen during our 18. From the time we pulled up to the clubhouse and to the first tee, the organization and professionalism was great. After the first tee, it was non-existent. 5.5 hr round was very disappointing. The rest of the course was outstanding. Just ask the staff before you head out if they have marshal's and if not, how to report slow groups. This is not a high handicapper course, recommended for low to mid handicaps.

A Very Pleasant Surprise

We booked at the Wigwam Resort for our annual golf trip. Six nights at the resort with 3 days of unlimited golf was remarkably affordable at an absolute top notch facility. Three lush courses for mid to low handicappers. We found the Gold and Champions courses to have some of the fastest greens we've ever seen but the patriot was probably the most playable overall. Excellent pro shop service and they even fit us in the days we planned on golfing elsewhere. We've been everywhere in the US for golf trips and the Wigwam is now our annual host from now on.
