Jones at Sea Trail Golf Resort and Convention Center
Played On 02/04/2022Nice layout, excellent place of play, marginal course conditions
Staff on arrival was very good and helpful. Pace of play was great and probably due to there being few golfers at the time we played.
Course layout was good and very fair from the white tees.
Course conditions were marginal at best. Tees and greens were in poor shape. Greens were very spotty and were bumpy and slow. I suspect this may have been due to recent very cold temperatures.
I would recommend to friends and would like to play again at some point but not under current conditions.
Tupelo Bay Golf Complex - Par-3 Course
Played On 03/12/2019not a bad course for beginner
slow play. a lot of beginners and slower players. this to me is a niche course for beginners or someone who wants to play a short course. In pretty decent shape overall.
Seminole Lake Country Club
Played On 03/22/2017Worth a visit to play
Good conditions. Grass was good on greens and fairways. Putts rolled well although greens are not as fast as they look. Staff was excellent. Member for a day is a decent deal.
University of South Florida Golf Course - The Claw
Played On 03/17/2017Marginal at best
Positives:
- good greeting in pro shop
- can't beat the rate to play at $14
- nice sand in bunkers
- great playing partners
Downside:
- lots of sand on greens...not in great shape
- slow play
- a couple of strange par 5's in terms of design
- marginal fairway conditions
This is a hard golf course. Small elevated greens. Have to be on to have any fun IMHO
Crescent Oaks Country Club
Played On 03/15/2017Worth a visit to play
Greeted at car and starter excellent. Got out a little early and sub 4 hr round. Doesn't get much better. Greens were very good and smooth, not too fast, and enjoyed the layout. Good mix of holes. A little short from the white tees but it was cool and windy so weather made up for it a litttle. Some Fairway bunkers a little rough withe heavy/muddy sand but nothe supposed to be there anyway. Will definitely play there again....very soon.
Tega Cay Golf Club - The Cove
Played On 04/05/2015Good layout...tight to be careful using driver
Great starter. Very pleasant. Some very tight holes so sometimes best to leave the driver in the bag and play for position. Fairways and rough dormant but greens were very good and nice to putt. Was paired up with 3 others and we had a fun day.
Mission Hills - Gary Player Course
Played On 01/12/2014Very nice course, Great layout and very playable
Really enjoyed the round. Registered as a single and was paired up and the two of played in a little over 3 1/2 hrs. Hit on a good Sunday with very few people out playing. Golfnow deal of $80 a decent price. Lots of tee options so playable for everyone. Landing areas more generous than they appear and houses on course set back quite a way so that is not intimidating. Staff very pleasant. Good experience. Challenging for advanced golfers from back tees.
Friars/Presidio at Riverwalk Golf Club
Played On 1/12/2013Course was decent. Very playable. Greens were quick
Fairways were decent and for the most part greens were good although there were many ball marks. That is the players fault as opposed to the course. Play a little slow but Marshall's were out to try and maintain pace and carts had timers so people need to pay attention. Very player friendly with some challenging holes but fair t get around.
Decent rate for weekend taking advantage if Golfnow times
