Bayou Oaks City Park South Course
Played On 12/09/2019Bayou oaks south
I’m 69 years old, so I play from the forward tees. I believe this is one of the better conditioned courses in the area. From the forward tees I don’t find the course overly long. In other words, it suits my current level quite well. I especially like the greens and bunkers. Well maintained. Staff is very friendly and clubhouse is well maintained.. There are a couple of holes that don’t drain too well, but the same can be said for any course in the area.
Stonebridge Golf Club of New Orleans - Championship Course

I thought the course, for late January, was in OK shape. However, the sand traps REALLY suck. Fairway traps are full of water and mud. No sand.
However, if they get their trap problem solved, once spring gets here and the grass starts growing again, all should be OK.

Timberlane Golf & Recreation

Played Timberlane for first time in 35 years. Forgot how much I enjoyed that golf course. Great layout, not just one straight hole after the next as so often in this part of the world. Course only in fair shape, but after all, it's February.
Great practice tee and putting green.
Staff friendly and accommodating.
Highly recommended.
Cypress Lakes Country Club
Played On 02/18/2018Poor conditioning
This course, currently, is in the poorest condition I've ever seen it ( I used to be a member). I was told the really cold weather had killed all the grass. The problem with that explanation is that all the other courses around the city experienced the same weather, but they are not nearly in as bad a shape as this. Save your money, play somewhere else. Wait until this spring/ summer to give this course a shot.
Thank you for the positive feedback!
