Great Challenging Course!

A little pricey, but worth the money. Played the white tees and that was plenty tough for our group. Greens rolled fast and true. Only complaint was the sand wast thin in the bunkers so tough to get your club underneath to get a soft exit. There was construction on a lot of beautiful modern homes, but not so close you were worried about hitting them. It didn't bother us in fact it was a welcome change to seeing the same grey track homes being thrown up on a lot of courses. Weather was cold and windy, but we still had a great time. Great views and staff was excellent all around.

Outstanding! We're thrilled that you enjoyed your first experience with us at Bear's Best Las Vegas. We're glad that you enjoyed our layout and we appreciate your feedback on our bunkers. We will make sure to address this matter. We're also glad that the construction didn't interrupt your round too much. Hope to see you back soon for another round!

Enjoyed it!

Fun layout, great views, and for February it was in really good shape. The value for the course is one of the better ones I've played in Vegas. Staff was all friendly and helpful. Need to come back and try the Concord 18.

Not worth it

To be fair the greens were sanded and the weather turned very bad, so unlikely it was going to be a great day for golf. That's part of the reason for the 2 stars and why I wouldn't recommend this course, as it got cold and rainy and we didn't have enough light to finish so we stopped at 9 to get a rain check. The bag guys said go inside the pro will take care of you, but he said the course wasn't "unplayable" so nothing I can do for you. Needless to say the two clients I brought with us who live in Vegas weren't impressed. Plenty of other great courses around town we can play without the attitude.

Best views of any course in Denver

Homestead is an executive course, but don't be fooled that it is easy. I'm an 8 handicap and and its still challenging especially if the wind picks up. Great views and condition, and facilities are pretty solid as well. I don't want to make the course harder for me to get on, but I think you'll be surprised at how nice this course is if you play there.

Best Denver Muni

Wellshire is my home course due to location and value, but is a nice course for a Denver public. The conditions are good(minus the 10th hole), but most courses are right now due to all the rain we've had this spring. Not sure what the other reviewer was talking about getting in a 3hr round, usually 4-4.5 and closer to 5 on weekends but that seems typical of the local courses.
