Otter Creek Golf Club
Played On 06/21/2021Good but a little odd
Long course, need to be able to have all of your shots in your bag. A lot of high to low shots and vice versa. Make sure you play the proper tees, I’m a scratch player and struggle to shoot par from the blues tee. The 20+ mph wind didn’t help. The back nine is a bit confusing, I seemed to get turned around. Great staff the course was in tip top shape.

Good course, the original front nine is fun it is a course that is almost 100 years old and plays to that style. You have to play position golf which is a nice change. The back nine is newer and more wide open. There are just enough hazards so you have a good mix of bomber holes and position play. The 17th which is a play on the 17th at Sawgrass was fun. The highlight was the bunkers, fluffy, and great sand. I would certainly come back.
The pace of play was a little tardy on the back nine, but still finished under 4-hour’s

I have played here a few times, it's a great course. the greens were good for the early season and the starters are amazing as always.
The pro shop staff was surly and indifferent as always, but the interaction was brief.
Played from the blue tees and shot -2 it is a good challenge for all players, the group I was paired with wanted to play from that tee box so I did object. This is one course that really punishes you if you play a harder tee box than capable.
The pace was slow, but it's a Saturday, the beer was pricy but cold.

I have played here a few time over the last fine years, and it’s always been a great time. The green were quick and true, the staff was over accommodating per usual. The only thing I find is the course is a little short than what I am use to, on the flip side it offers the ability to practice different shots

The course was in great shape, greens a little furry and inconsistent, over better than expected. Short course (under 6000 yards) it make up for it by challenging you to hit odd distance approach shots.. My only legitimate complaint was pace of play, there was a tournament set to start an hour after my tee time so they were trying to cram in a bunch of rounds before. No Marshall, no one to pair groups together to speed up play. Besides the greens being a little furry and inconsistent, it was better than expected.

Interesting course, if you place make sure you pick up a free course guide in the pro shop. The tee maps are a little misleading and many of the drives are blind. The scorching summer has left most of the fairways burnt out, hard and very fast. Almost like playing on straw. That being said the tee and greens were lush and the green nice, but surprisingly slow (admittedly I play at a private course in southwestern Ontario our green run at 10+, so I'm spoiled in that respect) the round took 2:56 minutes playing as a single with a cart so that was a definite plus. I'm sure with some rain this course could be a real value added addition.

True link style, pot bunkers, impossible to read greens. Fairways as fast as most clubs greens. This is a real shot makers course (as I learned), course plays true to its distance and when the wind is howling good luck... Staff was indifferent, marshell was helpful and friendly... If you want to really challenge your idea of links golf on this side of the Atlantic, this is your place

Nice course, good distance from the tips. Challenging and fun at the same time. Fast green and great pace of play

I was paired up with three others. Pace of play was an issue on the front nine. The course is in fairly good condition, aside from the inconsistent green speeds. What I like about the course is, because it so short you have the ability to play just about all the clubs in your bag. Certainly not worth the non "hot deals" rate of over 30$ if you can get the hot deal. Go out and play you will enjoy it

I wouldn't have played this course unless I had the hot deal through gf now. Layout is a little silly, pace of play is appalling (almost 5 hours) the grounds were in poor shape and the greens hadn't been cut in a few days. Could be a fun little course if the little thing are looked after.
