Course in very good condition, pace of play at 3+20 min, checkin easy, covid precautions in place. Enjoyable

First time I'd played Jax Beach since the reno. Course layout changes were interesting and made sense. Greens were is pretty good shape although course gets a lot of play and there were lots of ball marks. Fairways were not as good, lots of threadbare patches and unfilled divots.

Greens in great shape. Fairways and bunkers ver good.

Pace of play little slow at 4+15

3some showed up 30 min early and checked in with starter chuck announcing ready to go now. Starter says two groups in front. With 1st tee empty we repeat ready to go NOW. With blank stare from starter we announce we will be on putting green that shares space with first tee until he calls for us. 1st tee remains open for ten minutes until foursome finally gets to 1st tee and takes 10 min to tee off. Then starter calls and says second group no show and we can. 3some waits on almost every shot for 9 holes and sees starter again. We comment that we have waited on almost every shot and his comment is that foursome played in close to two hours.

Why did starter keep tee open to send out foursome in front of threesome? And has he ever read golf etiquette that says slower groups should let faster groups through?

My round enjoyable. Nice layout and course in OK shape but needed serious mowing. Greens OK.

Partner explored more than normal visits to the many course bunkers and hated course experience. Bunkers were horrible. Little real sand, months of weeds growing fron sides, water troughs from rain and with exception of some evidence of machine raking, almost complete lack of attention. Frankly most embarassing bunkers I have seen in 170 courses this year.

CCOP has a great layout and most of the course is in Decent sahape. Greens are certainly puttable but in sad shape compared to other greens in county.

I’ll wait another couple of years before I return.

Greens and course wonderful but we only got to play one nine twice as other nine was being aerated and closed. This should have been published for a prepaid fare.

Greens faster than most around Jax and roll pretty true. Excellent shape.

Fairways in good shape too.

Pace of play was about three hours for threesome.

I always enjoy a trip to Amelia River!

Course and staff were great. However, they had new golf carts delivered in the morning and put them out without charging them first. Twice our foursome had carts run out of charge in middle of fairway and had to get out and lug bags to continue until staff could bring out more carts. Got tired of hearing it was the delivery guy's fault for not charging the carts...

Pace of play is too slow for course. Men playing from 6400 yd whites creates slowness when other course men's tees are at 6000-6100
