Very few of the public courses within an hour drive of my home in Summerville, SC take the time and effort to overseed the fairways for winter play. It's really nice to play a course throughout the winter that has lush green fairways. And the greens are always smooth and fast regardless of the time of year. This course is a value-priced gem!

The golf course is in great shape. The greens are particularly good -- quick and true. The staff is very friendly from the pro shop to the bag check. And the service st the outdoor grill is first class!!

We got a Friday afternoon Hot Deal. It was an absolute bargain to play Wescott at that rate. The course is in great shape and the greens are on the fast side. I highly recommend this course!

The course is challenging with many multi-tiered greens. It is very hilly for a Florida course. Conditions were generally excellent but the greens were a bit slow. Great layout overall. Staff is awesome.

The fairways are in a horrible condition. Much of the grass was brown and looked as though it was a recently mowed hayfield. The rough was also exceptionally long making it easy to "lose" a golf ball that was only a few feet from the fairway. I understand from speaking with the proshop staff that they've had major issues with the fairways and have recently sprayed a herbicide designed to kill all but the bermuda grass. Hopefully when they are done with this process they will have functional fairways. And in fairness, I do have to praise the quality of the greens. They were firm, relatively fast and rolled true. That's not enough however to get me to come back until the fairways are in playable condition.

For those willing to make the 1 1/2 hour or so drive from the Charleston area for a different golfing experience, this is the place to go. The course was very well maintained and the pace of play was better than most, especially considering that we played on a holiday weekend. The greens were a bit slower than average but were in very good condition. This is NOT a pumpkin patch golf course... it would fit in beautifully in any setting in the Charleston area. But then the cost to play would go up signifcantly! Do yourself and your wallet a favor. Get three golf buddies and make the trip to Wyboo. I'm sure you'll be impressed with the quality of the course and the great value!
