Indian Canyons Golf Resort - South Course
Played On 01/05/2019User friendly
Playing from second to forward tees was fun. With my 21 handicap I shot gross 90. Par three’s are very short. Par fives are reachable in regulation. Friendly staff, friendly course.
Golf Club at Vistoso
Played On 04/06/2018Challenging- every shot counts
The carry from the tee seemed to keep getting longer as the day wore on. Lost three balls. Some fairways require a carry over the desert on both the tee shot and the second shot. Beautiful course. Bunkers are course, hard sand. Bring a few extra balls.
New Mexico State University Golf Course
Played On 02/04/2018Old style golf
This is the Old course. Yellow winter overseed. Decent greens. Reasonable pricing.
Red Hawk Golf Club
Played On 02/02/2018First Class in the desert
Jacob rushes to greet you at your car and loads your clubs for you. This is indicative of the rest of your experience. Pro Shop, Starter, Marshall - all very welcoming. Course is in winter conditions, but very playable. Greens are challenging. Bunkers everywhere my ball wanted to go. A really high quality course.
Shadow Hills Golf Club
Played On 01/05/2018Excellent Course
The layout is unusual. 37 front nine, 35 back with Two par threes in a row. Convenient driving range with no charge for practice balls.
Escena Golf Club
Played On 01/03/2018Excellent
This course is fun to play. There is lots of water, but rarely impacting play. Very wide Fairways all slope to themiddle so it’s hard not to be in the fairway.
Friars/Presidio at Riverwalk Golf Club
Played On 12/26/2017Course looks like it’s been abandoned
Course is in horrible shape. Poor or no grass on fairways. The only part in good shape were the bunkers.
Indian Springs Golf Club
Played On 3/22/2013wide fairways, perfect greens
A fun course to play - wide fairways, perfect greens, good pace of play.
Ojai Valley Inn
Played On 3/20/2013historic course in a beautiful setting
a beautiful older course in a fabulous setting, the Ojai Valley. very helpful staff. course in moderate condition, very playable but a little rough in spots. not overly used, we played 18 holes in 3-1/2 hours.
Woodhaven Country Club
Played On 3/18/2013Very Short, Very Narrow. Slow Play.
Built in 1985, the course is very narrow. When they sell window insurance for $2 at the pro shop, you should buy it. the course is short and if you hit it straight, easy. If you don't hit it straight, go somewhere else. There was no marshall the day we played, so the pace was gruelingly slow. We finally played through the foursome ahead and there were four open holes. The course is in good shape.
SilverRock Resort
Played On 3/14/2013Would have been five stars but for the slow group ahead...
Most beautiful course i have ever played. Great condition. Challenging but fair. Lots of bunkers and water hazards. Bighorn sheep on the mountain nearby came to visit. Would be five stars but for the slow group ahead who refused to hurry and would not abide a play through group.
