First time playing this course. Traditional layout with wide fairways and not much elevation. I really enjoyed playing this course and will be back to play again!

Only negative was a pace of play -- was very jammed up and only got in 15 holes as it got dark.

First time playing this course. Course was in excellent condition -- tee boxes, FWs, and greens. Much better conditions than public courses I play in Henderson, NV. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pace of play was slow, but that's typical for many courses today, so not a huge issue. There were some quirky holes with trees and tree branches in the way -- but I guess that's just part of the set up here.

Course is well maintained w near perfect greens. Played in a windstorm w which was not fun. Pace of play was terrible. No driving range is unforunate... bring your own water, they don't provide water in the cart coolers.

With exception of the greens which were in rough shape, the course was in nice condition. Not sure what the issue is w the greens but hopefully this will be resolved soon. Pace of play was pretty good until the last 3-4 holes. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Overall I would rate this course 4/5. The greens were in excellent condition -- might be the best I have seen in Vegas for an open to the public course. Only problem was the greens were super slow -- maybe from watering?

Pace of play was sluggish for this track. It usually is so I was prepared. Narrow fairways with huge bushes lead to lots of balls disappearing then lots of searching going on.

One other issue not golf related. One of the water features on the front 9 had a terrible sewage like smell with lots of dead fish and birds. This was not good. This issue needs to be resolved ASAP.

Overall a nice golf course and in pretty good shape for the winter. Pace of play was a touch on the slow side, but that's kind of the norm at many Vegas courses.

I really can't complain too much for $40 and got in 18 in right before it got dark. Had not golfed at Chimera in about 6 months and was surprised to see dried out fairways. Also, some of the greens were really rough -- lots of of ball marks dried out areas. Hoperfully Chimera is not heading toward the conditions of Revere, Legacy, and Wildhorse? That would be most tragic... I guess this is the sign of the times at Las Vegas / Henderson golf courses?

Wildhorse was pretty shabby about 6 months ago, but there seems to be an effort to improve the course. Fairways were pretty green and the rough was for the most part uniform. Greens were in very good condition compared to what I have seen in the past. There is still work to be done with the greens to make them consistent. My only complaint was the thick and overgrown grass on the tee boxes. Seems like any easy fix for a golf course?

Course is much improved since last time I played. Greens were in excellent condition and very fast. Seems like mgt. is trying to upgrade course conditions which is a welcome change. Bunkers are currently being renovated.

Very nice track. Well maintained course with a friendly staff. Has some nice views of Las Vegas from some holes.

This course has seen better days, but it is still fun to play and is challenging. Missing fairways can be a disaster as one side can be thick US Open type rough, while the other side might be weeds, dirt, and gopher holes -- you just don't know until you end up there! Greens are fairly well maintained, though speeds can vary somewhat. Just your typical muni course that gets a ton of use!

Well maintained and challenging par 60 executive course in Henderson. Very green and lush (rare in Vegas) with super fast greens. If you miss greens you will pay the price with the thick rough and tricky bunker shots. Pace of play can be an issue at times, but what else is new with golf post Covid?

Course and surroundings are in pretty rough shape. Lots of deferred maintenance. Fairways are burnt w lots of bare areas and weeds. Burro crap is everywhere. Greens have lots of ball marks and bare patches. Some of the pins don't even have flags! It looks like mgt. is letting the place go before closing the course. It really is too bad as the Desert Course if really fun to play. Check out my photos to see what I am talking about.

Track is taking a beating from the heat -- lots of dry and rough areas. Kind of typical for many courses in Las Vegas right now. Otherwise a fun, but challenging course.

Course is good shape and it looks like they are making improvements to make it even nicer. For $32 this might be the best golf value in Clark County. Fairways are in pretty good shape and greens are nice also. No problems with pace of play the last few times I have played here.

DW is in excellent shape right now -- very green and landscape looks great. Greens were super fast when I played. Pace of play is always an issue at this track due to number of par 3's and slow poke players.

I guess thousands of homes at Rhodes Ranch is not enough! Now, parts of this lovely golf course are being destroyed to build more houses! 3 holes are a complete mess due to the on going construction in the community. Pro shop said the end result will be a course that is changed to a par 71 or 70.

Until this project is completed and the new homes are built, find somewhere else to play. Hopefully the redesigned course with the new homes will be acceptable.

This really is a shame as Rhodes Ranch was a very nice course that could be challenging to all skill levels. Why the greedy developer needs to cram in more houses is really sad!

The good: nice layout, good conditions, greens in very good shape and super fast! Staff always friendly. Carts are in good shape, GPS in cart is easy to read.

The bad: Pace of play was abysmal today. Started at #10 as a single. Caught up to a twosome at #14 and joined them. Foursome in front of us was super slow -- looking for balls, taking forever to line up putts, no gimmes. We waited on the next 4 tee boxes for 10 minutes min!

The ugly: Got to #1 and a total log jam. Foursome on the green. Threesome on the FW, Teebox was 2 foursomes! then we showed up. So that's 11 golfers standing around on #1 waiting to hit. Come on now! At least one of those foursomes jumped in straight to #1, maybe both did. This CF was caused because there was no starter and no marshal keeping the golfers in line.

The really ugly: At this point I surrendered. It was cold and windy and I did feel like playing the back 9 again. I certainly was not going to wait for 20 minutes at each tee box to play this course. I brought the cart back and asked the golf shop if I could get a credit since I only played 9 holes. I just wanted a credit for half of what I paid ($38.00). I explained to the golf shop the issues with the delays, but that did not matter. I was denied a credit and that was that.

In 5 years of golfing in Las Vegas I have only asked for a partial refund 3x, Today was the 4x. The other 3x, I explained the problem and they had no problem giving me a partial credit. But not Stallion Mountain -- they would not budge even though the CF of golfers on #1 was their fault due to no starter and no marshal.

No Bueno!

Super fast greens.... hard pan fairways... dead Bermuda rough... long par 3s. Have fun!
