UNC Finley Golf Course

Played On 07/08/2022Great Value, Fairways Left a Lot to Be Desired
Falls Village has a great layout with a mix of some challenging as well as straightforward holes; my son and I definitely enjoyed playing the course. The fairways weren't typically too narrow, but if you hit wide, don't expect to find your ball due to the woods and some hazards. The hilly course provides some visibility challenges if you don't know the layout. The sand traps were being repaired so you had to remove the ball and play out of the trap (a bonus for me). While the greens were well maintained, the main drawback was that the fairways were not in good shape on virtually every hole; lots of bare/semi-bare spots, which led to lots of poor lies even when you hit the ball well. Still overall a very good value!

Found a great deal on GolfNow, and enjoyed playing the course after being in the area on business. Pace was slow due to two large groups in front of me (a foursome and a five-some), but no complaints about the greens and the fairways. Rough was rough, but overall a pretty average/decent course!
The Currituck Club
Played On 05/21/2022Great Course on the Outer Banks
Our foursome really enjoyed playing this course despite the high heat (90+ degrees), which fortunately meant we weren't playing behind anyone and could go at our own pace. The course has nice, wide fairways but with plenty of challenging hazards like bunkers and water. Nothing crazy or overly intimidating - the course was in great condition and was clearly well-maintained. Highly recommend for anyone looking to play while vacationing on OBX.

Great value! Course was in good shape and only major downside was due to COVID-19 regulations - no standard flags/pins or full holes, so it was a bit more difficult to see where you’re hitting toward. Most holes were on the front side of the green; greens are mostly flat. This course is perfect for beginners/lower skilled players, with only par 3’s and 4’s; longest hike was the first at around 270 yds. Most were around 180 yds. We had a great time playing the course!
