Patriots Point Golf Links
Played On 08/15/2017Only play if you get a reduction in green fees
Some employees were very friendly others not so much.
The course was in pretty good shape considering all the rain the area received over the last week or so. I love this course but would never play if I had to pay their regular greens fee, $70-75
The Georgia Trail At Sugarloaf
Played On 10/29/2015Bad greens
Most greens had sod repair patches. Only played 9 holes. As a executive course I guess it's an ok course but I wouldn't recommend it.
Charleston National Golf Club
Played On 07/08/2015Nice course
Played from the senior tees. Several forced carries, lots of mounding. The course was in great shape.
The down side was the $20+ fees and taxes needed to book the Hot Deal. The $38 special rate when you add in the taxes and fees made the hot deal not so hot.
Southland Golf & Country Club
Played On 04/10/2014Water in every sand bunker.
I've played much better courses for less. The course was not in very good shape.
By the way, I was only in one fairway bunker and then noticed that every sand bunker had standing water.
Shadowmoss Plantation Golf Club
Played On 02/17/2014Winter conditions
Tight lies in the fairways. You were better off if your drive was just off the fairway in the dormant bermuda grass.
Some greens were a bit spotty. The recent freeze might have caused some grass kill on the greens.
Patriots Point Golf Links
Played On 01/27/2014Links course with nice view of Charleston.
I hadn't played this course in about 15 years. As with links courses you have to contend with the wind. Greens are over seeded with rye this time of year and were lightning fast.
Fun course to play, one of my favorites in the Charleston area.
The Club at Pine Forest
Played On 01/21/2014Lots of fairways slop towards water.
Accuracy pays extra dividens and pick a good landing spot because several of the fairways feed towards water. The greens were spotty and fast.
I got a great deal through Golfnow so the round was a good value for the money.
Golf Club At Wescott Plantation - Oak Forest Course
Played On 01/17/2014Course was in good condition for the January.
My playing partner an I played from the retired tees and found the course fun. Fairways lies were tight with dormant Bermuda and the greens were hard and fast.
We had a great time.
