well manicured. To date for 2015 best course

The greens were like carpet. The tee boxes were in emaculate shape. The fairways were well manicured. The rough was thick, but reasonable. The ponds that come into play were murky, muddy. Two of the par fives are rediculous long. Like 550+ yds. the par fours are where you will pick up strokes. a few only less than 300+yds. Come play here. It is a great facility.

try again when not wet

First impression, this course looked fun. Wide open, but windy. The club house wreaked of smoke... so much it choked me up. The course was wet, but we went after it rained for like three days straight. EVERY drive plugged. We lost balls in the middle of the fairway, because we couldn't find them plugged. I bet this course is super fun when the ball can roll.

The course has funs shots. You will utilize a lot of different clubs. The greens are fun, some serious elevation changes. Driving range was closed on this day. Carts are slow. They seem to be governed really slow speed. Barely got up some of the cart paths. Par threes are short.

Please stop giving this course money

Much like the Cleveland Indians, you should not give this course any money until they start putting the money back into the course.

The entire course looks like it is diseased. It has numerous spots on the greens that are dead.

I came to just practice since it is the closest place. The practice facilities were awful. $8 for a "large bucket"... maybe fifty balls?? Oh, and three of them were cut or literally in half. Quality stuff here people.

It is a shame... this course had such a nice premise. Making a landfill into a nice golf course... the latter has fallen by the wayside. The water treatment plant has nicer grass than this place.

You have to try this course

This course was close to home so i figured id try on a golf now deal. My time was for 12:14, but i showed up early and they were totally fine with me heading out early! Carts are gas, but surprisingly not that loud. Ranger came up behind me and i barely heard him. He was kind enought o share some PRO V's that he found! Starts off with some straight shooting fairways that are nice and open. I love the views you get with some of the tee boxes. Like 7 is tricky, cause you shoot from an elevated tee box thats narrowed with woods with it opening up to a gorgeous fairway with undulation. Few hazards that could trick you up along way. All the par 3's are very pretty and add to the value of the round.

Bottom line, this course is a must try. Could become a new favorite! The prices for the fall rates are unbeatable. AND they are not goign to aerate greens, so there's that!

Take a look at membership rates. Extremely affordable, such as driving range for $150 all year! Something like $350 for a year during weekdays all you have to pay is cart fees.

great course

I would be interested in playing the other courses that are grouped with this one. The dangers a plentiful. Lots of bunkers. If you can manage your shots fairly well it is quite a fun course to play. Little risk reward shots. I would reccommend getting a players book for $2.50 so you can know where to hit. I was shooting blind on a few holes and laid up. I was told they plan to fill in many bunkers. On the ninth hole i hit a bit left and some dude through my ball out of his yard by the bunker.... so watch for that. Excellent course, too bad it rained!

Maybe call ahead first?

I always have a great time at this course. When most ask i tell them that i prefer this course to others. Today was a bit different. Unknown to me, the greens were recently aerated and the back nine was closed. They also received a tremendous amount of water from rain. There were no mention of any of this on golf now. It was substantially windy too... not anyone but mother nature's fault. I know you can specify the recent aeration on golf now.

Also, due to the rain you werent able to take carts on the field... just paths only. SO for my shank-o-saurus day... i felt like i was slowing people down to go run down my ball which of course was way far from the path.

I will of course give this course another shot, being one of my favorites.

Good weather

no longer closing, wanted to check this out!

Course is intruiging. You play 10 holes, then switch at turn for back 8. Two lay-up holes which the manager was kind to share the distances with us. Quite a few elevation changes for a columbus course. Be aware, there are quite a few greens that are elevated, so if your in between clubs choose the one that'll get ya up and stay on green. I often was short and the hills stole the ball backward.
The only real major problem i had was we were approaching the 10th green and the sprinklers were on. It was frustrating since approach shots were difficult and the whole putting scheme was different. Slowed us down abou ten minutes to wait for them to turn off, then they sprayed our cart when they were turned off... so park further than you think away.
Lots of wildlife. Three holes had deer just roaming around. They seemed pretty domesticated. I would have liked a bit more in the way of practice fascilities, but there isn't much room for expansion.

always pleasant

As par for the course, CT delivers a great round. The pace was slow due to a fivesome that seemed to be thuroughly enjoying themselves. So the rest of the players were stacked on each other. This course delivers fun, challenging holes. Rough is not too long. Slight elevation changes. Greens were fertalized though, and it was difficult to remove from my putter.

Wonderful little round for a great price.

I had some free time and decided to check this place out. I have seen it all the time on golfnow... figured why not. You get a small bucket of balls ($5) with your round which is usually $15 and cart is $6... golfnow had it for $15 for everything. The range distances were off for sure, there was no way those were correct from where i was hitting. They had many stakes and distance markers out there for you including a big "M" like michigan. Fun to practice before the round.

The nine hole course had fun names for every hole. The cart paths were pretty rough, maybe down the road they ave these up. That's really my only complaint. Each hole shows you the direction to the next hole. I am probably a 15-19 handicap, i recommend playing the blue tees for some added distance. I never used my driver or fairway woods. Their are a few where youll need a four iron... SO... the emphasis on this course is a strong iron shot onto the green. The course is pretty much a rough other than around the green. Nice elevation changes. High OB grass makes finding the ball near impossible if you misshit really bad.

I accidentally hit the cart of the people in front of me on the fifth hole which was around 199 yards... never hit a 3 iron over 200 yards until then. Sorry to them... turned out it was the owner... yikes. The greens are super soft. They have someone watering them pretty consistenty, in fact they were watering them on my approach to the third hole... made my putt difficult to read.

All in all this is a great course to work on those iron shots and dial in. I was getting pretty decent backspin on the greens with a bridgestone E6 and srixon Z-star. Give it a go! The food and restaurant are fantastic!!

Shaggy rough

This was the highest rough I have ever seen. Lost close to six balls off the tee on the rough. The mix of morning sun, dew, and a rough close to four inches high made it impossible to find a ball off the fairway. Some fairways had crab grass.

If they would maintain the rough this course would have been enjoyable as the first round. It was so wet and so high I had to buy socks at the turn.

Range and 18 holes

The par threes are fun on this course. The tee boxes were chewed up. I went early (8:20) and the sun was brutal. Couple holes your looming right into it and I was by myself so the tee shot was hard to find. I lost a few that weren't in fairway. The cart I had was loud and broken. It's arm supporting the top was missing a bolt.

The range was chewed up too. There was a kid fixing all the divots left by precious people. The grass was crazy high and the markers aren't labeled so I didn't know really how far I was hitting. Just if straight or not. If your right off the tee on hole 6 you will be mixed in with all the range balls. The green on hole 8 was also littered with range balls from shanked shots. Got all excited that I hit a great shot and on green. Nope. Range ball. I was short. Hole 9 is a favorite.
