Hampton Golf Club
Played On 07/05/2020Sun Bleached Concrete
The course is in terrible condition. Has not been watered and the fairways were yellow straw and hitting of them was like hitting on sun bleached concrete. Tee boxes were beat up. Greens were level but half the grass is dead. Worst I’ve ever seen it.

Played On 08/29/2018Good country course
It is nice to play a country course that is hilly and not just a repurposed corn field. The land around there is very nice. The fairways are tight and the greens on the smaller side. The course was in good shape. Is well maintained.
Bluffs/Peaks Golf Course at Boulder Pointe Golf Club
Played On 08/23/2018Very Good Course but round marred by sloppy service
I’ve played this course twice in the last week. First the Peaks / Dunes combo and today the Bluffs / Peaks combos. I like it all. It is a very good course. Challenging but fair and very attractive. The course was in great shape and the greens true. The starter (a very nice guy) pushed me out ahead of a 4 and a 3 and gave the chance to have a nice 3 hour round. What a treat!
My only disappointment was a lack of customer service in the Pro Shop. Like an idiot, I left my putter at home, and didn’t realize until the 1st green. I called the Pro Shop from the 2nd tee box to see if they would lend me a putter on the turn. Some courses might even offer to run one out to me. This guy couldn’t be bothered to do anything. All he could offer me was the opportunity to buy a new putter from them. I already have a very nice Odyssey. Don’t need another one. He really could have cared less. Shame. A chance tor service excellence missed! So I played 18 putting with the edge of my pitching wedge and still managed to post a decent score!
That said, the course is a good one and well worth it (particularly if you get a Hot Deal). Will play it again and will bring my putter next time.
Sanctuary Lake Golf Course
Played On 08/01/2018Decent enough linksy course
Is built on an old landfill. Has some well designed holes but let down by a few so-so holes. Parts are a little beat up. Greens were a bit scuffed up which is a shame as they are challenging and well designed. For the rate I got ($24 hot deal), was still pretty good value.
Glacier Club
Played On 10/09/2013The midweek rate that I got of $28 including a cart was a bargain
This is one of the nicer courses in the Shelby Township / Washington area. I always like playing here - sometimes the green fees on the weekend ($70) are a little pricy and there are alternatives. Even so, it is a tricky course (without being unnecessarily punitive) and in good shape. It is a nice round of golf.
Greystone Golf Club
Played On 8/25/2013Pricey - but worth it - good challenging picturesque course for Macomb Co
Enjoyed this course - it is tricky but enjoyable with only one or two overly difficult holes. The last 3 holes are a lot of fun. It was $59 online for it which seemed about right (no bargain / not over priced). Course was in good shape - the greens were true.
Sanctuary Lake Golf Course
Played On 7/15/2013Good links style course
A links on top of a landfill - nice course - has some tricky holes but overall is pretty playable. The course on a Sunday was SLOW - 5 and a half hour round.
