New Management

This course recently came under new management. I have played the course in the past and it was quite a good experience and I enjoyed myself. I know this year has been a struggle with covid19 however that can't be used as an excuse any longer as I have played multiple courses this year in and around the area. The grounds here look terrible. Little distinction between any cut. Lots of weeds growing etc. Staff are short with guests, unfriendly and dismissive. I overheard the guest before me being told that coupons bought earlier were no longer being honored or reimbursed. With all the great courses in the area I would suggest NOT wasting your time, money or efforts on this one.

Shouldn't Be Open

I have played this course in the past and find it pretty good. Its challenging yet fair. However this course was much to wet to be open. And since I booked a "hot deal" I could not get a refund as the course was still open. Carts were allowed out but on cart path only which is normally fine. However it was more than soggy everywhere. Many times we chose not to play certain lengths of the course as your feet would be under water. Sand traps were ponds and still filled with snow. Greens had been aerated and were impossible to putt fairly on as the ball would bounce and change direction. Again this course should not have been open. Also I think it's time this course thinks about expanding its food services. At best in the summer they have a bbq out back where you can get a burger and hot dog. You cant even get fries. All in all it's a good course with great potential.

Needs Marshals

I've played this course a few times now and every round I get held up by slow players. Now I understand this is a city course and you're going to get a lot of new golfers just based on price alone. Don't get me wrong. It's a great course for the money with some challenging holes and great views.

That being said it would help a lot if they had a couple marshals out there making sure play keeps moving. I was part of a twosome. We played the first hole rapidly and then caught up to a group of ladies who were 3 to a cart and were obviously not the best at the game. They were not offering to let us play through. I even called the pro shop to have someone sent out. When I got a hold of them they said those ladies were only playing 9. Since I was on the 6th they thought I should just deal with it.

Best of soggy conditions

As far as city courses go this one is say is decent. It was the day after a good rain soaking and all in all I'd say it was manageable in most places. There were a few soakers though. Carts weren't being allowed out which made it a challenging walk as it's on the edge of the mountain. One real annoying factor was that there were no distance markers out. Makes it challenging.

Great deal

Got a great deal on a last minute hot deal. Pro shop and starter were quite friendly. This is a change from last year as the starter was always cranky. Stopped halfway for an awesome hot dog in the club house and back we went. Great views of Burlington waterfront from this course and it's quite challenging without being impossible
