Ventana Canyon - Canyon Course
Played On 06/18/2019One of the best
Difficult course to play the first time due to the travel distances between some of the holes but the course was in excellent condition other than a couple of thin spots in some fairways. The greens were smooth, rolled true and very quick. Overall a very very nice course.

The course is getting ready for overseeing but no mention of this when booking. Fairways and greens rock hard. Half the pins on the back nine didn’t even fit in the cups. No excuse for this.
Quarry Pines Golf Club
Played On 05/18/2018Great course except for greens.
As other reviews mentioned, the greens at this time are mostly bare and won’t hold almost any approach shot. If you can deal with this it’s well worth playing. Once they’re aerated and the Bermuda comes in it should play much better. The staff is super friendly.
Thank you for your 4 star review. We strive to create the best possible golfing experience for our guests. We hope to see you again soon.
Crooked Tree Golf Course
Played On 05/02/2018Stay out of the traps...err stones and dirt
The sand traps aren’t sand. They’re dirt and stones and mud. There were even several raps with standing water in them. The greens were hard and wouldn’t hold a shot although they rolled ok. The tees and fairways were ok.
Highlands at Dove Mountain
Played On 09/07/2017Great course!
Played mid morning. Had a wonderful time. Course condition was among the best we played all year. Will definitely go back before aeration. Staff was awesome. Left my glass case in the cart and they tracked me down in the restaurant and returned them. Very thoughtful.
Glengarry Golf Links
Played On 08/31/2017Very well maintained course
Truly enjoyed playing. The fairways were cut low and the rough was challenging. As the first group out can't really comment on pace of play. Also, the greens were superb. Smooth and the ball rolled very nicely. Definitely worth the drive!
Rio Rico Golf Club

The course is under new ownership and they are trying to get it back to where it once was but they have lots of work to do. The course was very 'shaggy' and the bunkers were all hard-pan. The 15th green was a temporary green. The staff was extremely friendly and asked us to give them a chance and thanked us for coming down and playing. The lunch sandwiches were excellent! You can't hit a large bucket of balls for the price of the green fees so even though the course is still in rough shape you can't argue the value. Will probably go back in a while to give it another chance because it's such a nice layout and the staff was so friendly.
Thank you so much for reviewing the course and also for your patience with the conditions. We are diligently working to bring the course back up to its former glory and hope to see you for another round soon!
The Golf Club at Dove Mountain - Saguaro/Tortolita
Played On 10/14/2013The course won
Played on a Monday morning and it was like having your own course. Nobody in front or behind us. Tortolita was cart path only but Wild Burro 90 degree. The greens didn't hold real well and we're really slow. They we're cut short, rolled well but we're slow. The staff said they won't speed them up until December.
We're glad you enjoyed your time with us, David. Be sure to book another round at Ventana Canyon soon!
