I've played here several times in the past year, and the improvements to restore the course are paying dividends. The greens were somewhat grainy, but other than that, the overall course was in very good shape.
Didn't meet the hype
Having played Celebration a couple of years ago, my expectations for the course condition was pretty high. The greens were excellent, but the rest of the course was pretty average. Tee boxes had not been mowed for at least a week, very little bunker maintenance, just generally rough around the edges.
BlackHorse Golf Club - North Course
Played On 8/23/2013A solid track that is well conditioned.
No really memorable holes, but a good layout. The greens were fairly slow for the green fee price.
Legends on Lake LBJ

I have played Legends a dozen times or so over the past couple of years, and the quality of the experience continues to improve. In the Austin area courses on Golf Now, I would rank it behind only Wolfdancer and Avery Ranch in terms of the quality of the course. Excellent condition, good blend of par 3 lenghts, and a good mix of open holes and tight driving holes. Highly recommend.
Delaware Springs Golf Course

The course has gone dormant with the recent freezes, but the condition over the course of the past year is top tier, public or private. Nice mix of tough holes and birdie opportunities amkes for a fun round.
White Wing Golf Club

Pace of play on nice weather days is very slow. Solid course with very good greens.
Cowan Creek Golf Course

Good layout with a nice mix of difficult holes and a few 'makeup' holes. Generally in good shape, bur during a hot dry summer like last year, it is not watered enough.
