Barony

Always enjoy playing this course when on the island. The fairways were still dormant and the ruff was pretty thick but the greens were wonderful.

Great Course

Teed off at 10:20 and it was pretty chilly. The rain started to fall harder but we sucked it up and played as long as we could. My playing partner and I play fast and managed to play 14 holes in 2 hours. By then we were soaked and freezing. Went in to the Pro Shop and they gave us a rain check to use the following day for the back nine. How good is that!!!

Gourgeous Course

What a great course to play. Everything was perfect. You must pay attention to the GPS so you know where the water is. Fairways were perfect and greens were true. I will say that the bunkers were a little thin but that was it. Lots of undulation. You can't go wrong playing this course.

Goof Old Course

We teed off at 11:00 and the course was wide open. Really didn't have anyone in front or behind us. Fairways were awesome and the ruff was long and sticky. Some bunkers were thin and others seemed to have new sand in them. The course is fairly tight with really small greens. Greens putted true and were quick. I would have scored better had I been able to putt. This is a true old course and a pleasure to play. A must when your are in Palm Desert.

Boca Golf

This was my first time to play this course and I really enjoyed it. It was very windy but all I had to do was adjust either up or down a club into the green. I will say that you need to arrive in plenty of time to putt before playing. The greens were lightening fast. The fairways were in good shape. The only down side I had was that the bunkers were thin on sand so the ball flew out and on my shots went off the backside of the green causing me to chip up. Lots of presence of course marshall's which was nice.

Fun course

Love playing this course. Would have preferred playing Osprey to Heron. Eagle is not my favorite. Heron has prettier holes. Greens were in not really good shape but still had a good time.

We love that you love playing Okeeheelee! Heron Nos. 7 & 8 are by far two of the prettiest holes on the property, although we don't think there's a bad one in the bunch. Thanks for your continued support.

Wonderful Course

We have been on a golfing driving trip and have played golf from New Mexico to Arizona to Palm Desert. This course is by far the best course we have played. We amazed that the course was in such perfect condition. Can't wait to do this road trip again and play here. Every hole was beautiful, manicured and had challenges. The greens could not have been better. This is a must play course while in Palm Desert/Palm Springs.

Palm Desert Resort

First of all, if you have never played here before make sure you put Palm Desert RESORT Country Club into your GPS. We arrived at Palm Desert Country Club by mistake and were told that it happens daily!
I personally thought that this course would have been nicer especially have the word RESORT in their name along with Country Club. The fairways were not in good shape. Some area didn't have grass so we rolled the ball through the fairways to find a good lie.. This course is built around what I figured were a couple of thousand duplexes. Not attractive from the back side at all. I guess if there was landscaping throughout the course it would have made it more pleasurable. We played the Marriott Resort course Desert Springs and it is built around timeshare golf villas and their course was fabulous and landscaping was beautiful. The holes at Palm Desert Resort CC were ho-hum with none being memorable until we hit #18. The greens were probably the best part of the golf course. When we vacation here again I will not be playing this course.

ColoVista

Love this course, played it a bunch in the past. It was closed for some time and now the POA owns it and it is run by Billy Casper Golf. Love the lay out with links style on the front nine and tons of trees on the back. I think it still needs a lot of work. It is winter and grass is dormant but the greens were almost more dirt than grass, call it brown grass. The fairways and ruff areas were either soggy from over watering and there were tons of weeds everywhere. I had a voucher from a previous cancelled round so I got it for $29.15 pp which is a great price considering the shape of the course. Give this another year under the new directors and I fell that they will bring it back to what it use to be.

Thanks for coming out and playing the course. We are very excited as course conditions continue to improve! We have several large scale applications of herbicide and pre emerge to eliminate any weeds you may have seen, once the course is dry enough to allow for application. They were most likely a bit more pronounced than normal because of the 4 inches of rain we had this past week, making it difficult to get a mower on the course. The weeds are growing this time of year and the grass is completely dormant. With our very strong agronomic plan coming into March when the grass starts growing, we are primed to have the golf course in OUTSTANDING condition for the upcoming season. Thank you for your feedback and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

Bad/Ugly

My husband and I played Hombre Bad/Ugly on a chilly winter day. The course was in really good shape considering the time of year. Fairways were plush and greens were in good shape. Course was kinda soggy from recent rains but you still had roll. Course has water on 14 of the 18 holes which makes it challenging. I was pleased to have shot an 88 considering I managed to 4 putt one green (par 3 ouch) and managed to chunk 2 in the water. All in all a good day on a nice course. Girl in the make shift restaurant area must have been in a foul mood and the cart girl wasn't any better. Only complaint I have.

not worth the money

Wanted to play RTJ Magnolia Grove but they were cart paths only so after reading reviews on Lake Forest we decided to play there. I was not impressed at all. For starters the name Lake Forest Yacht and Country Club is very misleading. There isn't a yacht club anywhere near the place, their country club is old and run down and not a country club at all. Had a small men and women's locker room and a walk up counter to order food and drink. The pro shop didn't even know what type of greens they had and their range balls were just a conglomeration of old used balls. The golf course was like a cow pasture and the greens were very bumpy. They have water on one hole which is #17. Was told that in 2 years they have budgeted for new greens which will meet PGA guidelines. Don't waste your time or money. Should have done cart paths only on the RTJ.

fun course

My husband and I booked a round of golf on golfnow.com cost was 54.00 for both of us. What a bargin. For a public course it was a great condition and the layout was nice. A few blind holes and carry over creeks on various holes. Great having gps on carts. Would play again next time I am in town.
