Cummings Cove Golf & Country Club

Fun layout. Shot makers course. Not one you can overpower. Lot of doglegs. I think i hit driver 4 times. Great shape. Always a few degrees cooler than my home in SC. Never seen a more overpriced grill. 10 bucks for a hot dog is nuts. Was a really good hot dog but wow.

I didn't really know how to review this. Is this a nice course no question. Is a a great deal for a hot deal at $39 for the round. No question. Is it a $100 course. Heck no. Nice layout. I am a low 80s guy and shot an 85 here. Left some on the course with first time playing. Conditions were what I expect from a Country Club type environment but Augusta National is safe for sure. Plenty of dead spots. Tee boxes weren't all grassed. Fairways were nice but apparently no one knows how to use sand in NC. Lots of divots in the fairway. If this were a $50 course it would be a 5. As a $100 course its a 3. Very playable and nice but if I'm playing near here there are other courses that would be a better bang for the buck. I will play again so don't take this as negative. Hope that helps.

One of my favorites in the area. It is about an hour drive for us but we try to make it down a few times a year.

Really enjoyed the course. It rained on Wed so it was a mudhole but drained fairly well. Greens were in great shape even with the rain. They ran quicker than most of the courses we have played lately. I liked the layout. Has some doglegs and some waste area's in front of a lot of the boxes to punish the worm burning shots which I like. It also had a couple of holes with rocks and mulch beds in the middle of the fairway to play around which I enjoyed. Restaurant was pretty overpriced and made me once again realize why people sneak beer onto the course. 20 for a 6 pack with tip is pretty ridiculous to me. Sandwiches were 9 bucks as well. Bring your own food and beer and its an awesome place.

What a nice course. I had a buddy recommend this course and we were not disappointed. New clubhouse. Huge driving range. Course was in great shape. I didn't love the layout as a lot of it was pretty straightforward and I like courses that make you move the ball. We played the tips and it was longer than most courses. Looking to play again in the next couple of weeks and its a little over an hour drive for us. Highly recommend.
