Pine Creek Rough

This is a good course as long as you keep the ball in the fairway. The rough is too tall for no reason other than the management won't mow it. It is too easy to lose your ball in it, and I did 4 times. My playing partners lost balls in the rough as well. The head grounds keeper should take a trip to Scottsdale Arizona and look at how well those courses are landscaped and how the rough is welled managed, then come back and fix this course.

We apologize for the rough and will look into this. We hope you give us another shot soon.

This course is long and flat

This course could be really good if more money and effort were put into it to improve it. The course is basically flat but the layout makes it interesting. Because there are very few trees, you get the feeling of playing out in a open field. The greens need work as the grass was patchy so the golf ball did not roll smooth but bounced occasionally. The par 3 tee boxes need work as there were too many divots. On most of the holes, the rough was too tall for no apparent reason other than no effort was taken to cut it shorter, which causes a lot of lost balls. While looking for my ball in one section of rough, I did not find my ball but did find 8 other good balls. As I said the course needs work to improve it. I played the course because I got a "Hot Deal" price on Golf Now, but if I had to pay a regular price, I wouldn't pay more than $25 to play it.

Bad Experiences

Don't believe the opening web page info about this course. I've played this course several times now and the pace of play is always slow. My friends and I had to wait on every hole. It is impossible to finish 18 holes in 4.25 hours as they claim. It took us almost 1.5 hours to get thru 4 holes.
There are no rangers trying to get the pace of play sped up and too many holes had fairways roped off so it wasn't possible to drive the cart on them, which helped to slow down play even more
The course is not in the best of shape either. Too many areas of the fairways could be improved and putting more trees along the fairways would improve the overall appearance of the course.
