Burford Golf Links
Played On 09/04/2020Average golf, garbage everything else
Decent track, typical of golf north. Bare minimum upkeep, shotty carts, disgusting food, grumpy old staff, no drink cart, no marshals.
Dont get me wrong, the course is certainly playable, and if you get a discount its great value . Just dont expect a pristine course. Course is flat and very walkable.
Demographics of this course share a lot of similarities with a retirement home.
MontHill Golf and Country Club - Blue/Gold Course
Played On 08/31/2020A good day
Well maintained, odd layout. Trees are well pruned so punch outs are more than possible. Club house is breathtaking and carts are nice. I got stuck with a group of old hackers but they were at least very friendly. Fairways were hard and greens were fast. I will definitely bring the wife here for a nice dinner.
All in all, nothing mind-blowing but certainly a solid track.

Brant Valley Golf Course
Played On 08/23/2020Great staff but course is super rough
We are in a drought, so I will definitely check this course out again on another date. Warning: there are no fairways or bunkers or drink cart and the greens, for the most part, were awful. Hard to find a hittable patch of grass on the tees. My suggestion would be to bring your junker clubs as they will take a beating. No patio for lunch after the round. This could easily have been a 4/5 star review if the course was looking better. 28+25 dollars for the round and cart. I really should have just hit the range instead.
The upside is that the pace of play was reasonable (4h15m) and the people working the course couldn't have been nicer. The layout was interesting, great for long irons. As I said at the top, I am willing to blame it on the drought and try again later.
Happy Hacking!
