Blue Cypress has been a staple for me. It never disappoints. It's in better condition than some major golf courses in the area for half the expense.

I love Links style courses, it's probably the closest I'll come to Ireland. I've never been disappointed at North Hampton. The greens had been areorated a week or so before however that did not inhibit play at all.

This course is one of my favorites in the Jacksonville/Brunswick area. The course is always in beautiful condition and ready for a great round of golf. The setting is among some old growth punctuated with beautiful secluded lakes. It's not a modern golf course in the sense that it is surrounded by houses with people mowing lawns, cooking and playing the radio. This is a secluded course that is very peaceful. Oh, and the Island deer. They are a joy to watch. They walk across the fairways and nibble the long grass in the rough. It is a must play!

I found the personnel in the golf shop to be a bit harsh. There are no lockers available for visitors only a small bathroom in which to change clothes. I prefer to shower after a round so I can go to dinenr not smelling like, well not odorous. The restaurant closed at 3pm, what am I supposed to do for dinner and drinks after a round of golf? The fairways were hard and brown. The greens 12 out of 18 were in regulation but are fast. This would not be my first choice for another round; there is better value in the Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Fernandina Beach area.

I've never been close to being disappointed with S. Hampton. Everything is always Great! Course, Staff, etc.
