Red Wolf Golf Resort
Played On 05/20/2014Improving Week to Week
We were a twosome on a Tuesday. Played in about 3hrs. The greens were good, sand trap excellent (best sand traps in the area), fairways were watered and not rock hard, and most tee boxes were OK some need some serious work. The rough is very patchy with a lot of patches of dirt. That being said the course is improving and is a good layout. We rolled the ball and really enjoyed the round. With a good price it is well worth the price.

Played On 05/14/2014The Rain Really Helped
Course was in really good shape. The fairways got the water that was needed from the rainstorm earlier in the week. The greens were great, no bare spots, somewhat slow but that was OK because no bare spots unlike many courses in the area. The fairways are normally very hard (lack of water) but not the day we played. Beers and hot dogs were $1 on a special. We played the front nine in 90 minutes, made the turn at 10:45 and could not get hot dogs or beer because the kitchen didn't open until 11. Red Wolf is a decent layout with some difficult holes when played from the blue or black tees.

Played On 05/08/2014Course In Really Good Shape
Overall the course is in really good shape. The greens do not have bare spots like most in the area from harsher than normal winter. The tee boxes and fairways are also in good shape, the sand traps have way too much sand. We paired up with another twosome on about the 3rd hole and still waited every shot but still had a good time. The temperature was great, but it was really windy which made for a greater challenge. I certainly recommend this course but expect to wait even during the week.
Panorama Golf Club - Rolling Hills Course
Played On 05/06/2014Course Requires Work
The Village is a fun course - we played Winged Foot and Rolling Hills the nines in the best shape. The fairways are OK but need work - there are signs of the issues being addressed. The greens are not in good shape with many small bare spots on all the greens - they will require quite a bit of maintenance in the next month. The staff and members are nice. The food and drink are great. The layout of all 3 nines are good and if the money is there for maintenance this will be a really good course. We just roll the ball everywhere to make the round more enjoyable - if you play it as it lies, you will probably not be happy due to the course conditions.
West Fork Golf & Country Club
Played On 04/29/2014Shows Improvement
I hadn't played West Fork in a couple of months. The course shows improvement with the warmer weather. The crew was working on the fairways which still have plenty of weeds/nutgrass. The greens are recovering but still have a ways to go. Many bare spots due to the neglect of the previous owner. Plan to play it again in May and look forward to more improvement. It is a challenging layout.

Played On 04/22/2014Rock Hard Fairways
Played on a Tuesday, somewhat of a crowd. Found out Tuesdays and Thursdays are $1 beer and hot dogs. The greens were very good but slow - no bare spots. The fairways were hard - needed some water. That being said, I cannot remember getting that much roll both my playing partner and I reached a couple of the par 5s in two and both of us got eagles. If you drive the ball straight, it really shortens the course. The price was very good and it was a lot of fun.
Biloxi/Charleston at River Plantation Country Club
Played On 03/11/2014Really Wet
Due to the recent rain, the course was really wet and played really long. The greens were good, we played the Augusta and Biloxi 9s. The course is starting the transition to summer grass, there are many areas that will need attention. We were a twosome and played in about 3.5 hours with a GolfNow deal caddy, so the price was excellent. The layout of all 3 nines are good and each has some challenging holes. If you can get a deal the course is recommended.

Played On 03/07/2014Making a Good Transition
The course is in good condition for the time of year. All the greens are in great shape, no bare areas. The fairways and tee boxes are greening up. The pace of play was terrible and the marshals did nothing. Our twosome joined the threesome in front of us at the turn and still waited on the threesome in front of us on every shot except putting. Overall, the course is getting better due to warmer weather and is in really good shape for the time of year.
West Fork Golf & Country Club
Played On 12/20/2013Big Improvement Since Early September
I played the course in September and vowed never to play the course again. I have been playing golf for over 50 years and those were the worst greens, I ever played. I really like the course layout. I read some recent reviews about how good the greens were. I decided to give it another try and am glad I did. There is a new owner and it has made an incredible improvement in the course. The greens were really fast and smooth (a couple of greens still need major work that should improve in the spring) and work was being done while we played. The pace of play is great just under 3 hrs for a twosome. I bought 4 deal caddy's because the improvement really makes it fun to play.
Panorama Golf Club - Rolling Hills Course
Played On 10/9/2013Fun Layout
The greens were fast and challenging to read. The rough was brutal but with the recent rains, it would be expected. I was waffling between a 3 and 4 star rating. I enjoyed the round and the staff and members were very friendly.
Stonebridge at Newport
Played On 10/3/2013This course was in horrible shape
The course layout is great. It is too bad it is not in better shape. I can understand the rough and fairways being somewhat long due to all the recent rain in the area. I played on a Thursday and the holes on all the greens could not have been cut for many days, grass was growing over the edges, they were beat up and the greens needed to be rolled. This is not expensive maintenance. A number of greens had bare patches. Even for the excellent price of a hot deal, it was not worth it. If a putt went in it was pure luck.
Stonebridge at Newport
Played On 6/5/2013Good pace of play
I had a fun round. The fairways have a real crabgrass/weed problem-needs weed killer and water. The greens were not in the best of shape, bare patches and bumpy. I really like the layout but more work is needed, I checked the would not recommend to a friend because I wouldn't right now. With some work, this would be a really nice golf course. 9 and 18 are good holes.

Played On 5/13/2013Good layout
I've played the course a few times this year. It is in the best shape now, but still needs some work. Primarily the sand traps (primarily fairway) and the fairways still have a significant amount of poa annua. The green were a little slow, but the grass was good. I like the layout of the course and for the deals through GolfNow, it is a good value.
Eagle Pointe Golf Club
Played On 5/7/2013Great course in excellent shape
Eagle Pointe is a good layout with many elevation changes. It currently is in excellent shape, the best of any courses I have played this year.
Red Wolf Golf Resort
Played On 5/2/2013The layout is good
Greens were in good shape, moderate speed. Fairways were tightly mown (too short for spring conditions), many areas of the fairways and rough need attention. Growing season is starting, conditions should improve with work. Good value, good layout, challenging par 3's.
Thank you TomE1970 for your comments. We highly appreciate your feedback. As stated, we do have a few issues that have needed attention, but we are diligently working on getting the course in great shape. We would love to have you back out soon to help improve your opinion. Thank so much again.
