Yocha Dehe Golf Club at Cache Creek Casino Resort
Played On 07/24/2018Great course and an awesome staff.
This course is challenging yet fair. This course can be played by every level of golfer without being to tough for the average golfer, while still being challenging enough for the low handicap crowd.
It is always in great condition. No pot holes in the fairways to land in and the greens are smooth as glass. It’s an awesome place to play.

I have played here many times over the last three years even though it is an hours drive from my home. Average course, but usually you can play fairly quickly and it is not bad for the price. Unfortunately, this time wasn't so nice. I arrived an hour before my tee time, checked in at the pro shop and paid my fee's. Warmed up and then arrived at the starters stand about 25 minutes before my tee time. Starter checked me in right away making sure I signed for my cart. The starter was busy pushing groups off and I waited and waited. My tee time came and he called another group up. With all of the golfers, I figured they were backed up. Then the starter announced the first group of a mini tournament to the tee. I asked the starter when was I going off? He told me that he had forgot all about me. Telling me the next group had the next hour and half of tee times and I would have to join the foursome that was now on the third hole tee box. He drove me out to join them as a five-some. He told me that after 18 just come back to the first tee and play hole one and two. Not really happy but what else could I do. So when I did finish 18, I found the first tee busy so I checked in at the pro shop. I was told to join the two-some on the first tee, no problem. The only problem was that two-some was already on the green and three full groups were waiting on deck. At that point I was too mad and decided to go home. As I was leaving the pro shop attendant asked why I wasn't playing. I told her what I found and her response was Oh, Sorry". No offer of maybe a break on my next round, no apology, nothing. The starter screwed up, nobody is perfect and understand that. But to compound on a mistake that really shouldn't have happened, one that really screwed up the mental side of my game all day, Oh Sorry just didn't really seem like a proper response. I will play there again it just might be awhile...Maybe a long while

Played On 07/05/2014Nice interesting challenging place to play.
The pace of play was a bit slow. It was a Saturday and we were behind three groups of friends playing a mini tournament. It wasn't real bad but the pace of play would have been much better if they didn't make each player hole every six inch putt.
The course was in great shape, but the greens, although very nice and fast were not set up for Sat. play. Some of the pin placements were down right USGA Open tough. I hit an eight iron to ten feet of the pin on a par 3, missed the cup by about three inches right and the ball rolled some fifteen feet down a slope to the opposite end of the green. Not fun.
Over all I liked the course and I will play it again, but the course is tough enough without putting the pins in really really tough spots. I had more than one three putt from ten feet or less.

Great place to play and challenge yourself, but a bad shot will not totally kill you. Some courses make it too hard to play with tough sloping pin placements and other tricks. This place in tough, but fair. No tricky three putts from ten feet or rough eight inches thick. Well worth the drive.

This was built as a private course and was sold during the economic down turn. The course has kept about 90 percent of the private country club feel. Well maintained, tough at times, sometimes brutal multi level and fast greens. (I had four, three putts in my round everyone AFTER I was on in regulation. This place will challenge you and the price is reasonable for what you get and the hot deals make it an even better reason to play.
