Kings Creek Country Club
Played On 8/11/2013Best hole is always the 19th!!
this course has gone through alot. Mangament changes and severe drought are the two most important though. It's always been a great atmosphere inside the club house, but outside on the course, it's in rough shape. They do there best to maintain it but with the lack of rain, it really comes through. All and all I love the course and will continue to play it. Not much of a discount through golfnow.com versus regular rates. It's not in horrible condition, but what's needed on the course, has nothing to do with a lack of effort. They try real hard.
Mansfield National Golf Club

I played this course for the first time in about two years last Friday. It wasn't what I remembered. The drought has really taken it's toll on courses even in the DFW area. The fairways weren't bad, but it's the greens that suffered. I remembered them being fast and smooth. They still had some speed on them, but were very bumpy. Not as smooth and quick as they once were. Still a good course though. Always loved playing it and glad I got in on Friday. Saturday's and Sunday's means 5+ hour rounds. We played in right at 3.5 hours. but what's with charging the extra $5 for gps??? i think your green fee should cover gps use.
The Challenge at The Woods
Played On 7/4/2013Love the greens, fast and true. needs a cart girl or two!!!!!
I feel that the course is very well taken care of. the staff is pretty cool. the only complaints I have is that, without a deal from golfnow.com the normal rate of $55 on the weekends is outrageous. Also, no cart girl. With the turn coming at the farthest point from the club house, (9 green is across the highway), it would help to have something other than water on the course. candy, gatorade, beer, etc.
