Would have been great...

First off, no complaints about the course itself. Very fair, very challenging. First let down was that we came her because of a golf digest article about 5 courses most similar to Scotland. The website also advertises this. This course wasn’t anything like Scotland. The other reason this course gets a bad review is due to the pace. I booked the tee time the previous night and checked again the morning of the round. There was a twosome an hour ahead and a foursome half an hour ahead. By the 5th hole we were all stacked up and this led to a 4 1/2 hour round. We were a twosome trying to get around fast. Ranger drove by us 3 times on the back nine, never said anything. You can’t enjoy a round when your sitting behind hacks and the ranger wouldn’t help accomadate you. Won’t be coming back, not worth $70 on a Monday morning

Awesome club

Came here expecting a great experience, and left feeling that the experience was better than what I expected. The beauty of this golf course can be seen from the beginning as you walk into the men's locker room there is a ceiling to floor window with the ninth hole right in front of it. No markers, so you must rely on your caddie for the yardage. Long par 3's, some tough par 4's and very gettable par 5's. you can shoot low here very quickly. Not a bad spot on the course. Just a great experience I am so lucky to have experienced.

Tough course, poor pace of play

Just played the Palms course at the Desert Springs Resort. The Layout was challenging and scenic, lots of hills and a lot of different lies. I struggled quite a bit, losing 5 balls in the water. The driving range and practice green was spectacular. As were the staff. If you are someone who plays fast, THIS IS NOT THE COURSE FOR YOU. 4h 50m round.
