we played on a Friday, maybe my 1st mistake, but the course was very slow, it took us over 5 hours to play this round. so if you play here and you should, don't be in a hurry

Before the leaves all start to fall get out to play the Black. I have played the Red over the last month and it is not in good shape, but the black is in great shape. Maybe because of leas people playing I don't know for sure but if you wat a nice round go out and play this course. note; hole 14 is closed till next may for reconstruction, they did a really nice job but it takes time to set

this is an interesting course but they don't put much money into it so it is not often found in good shape. The greens are slow and bumpy they do not roll the greens, the conditions around the greens is usually spotty with grass so it is mote often you are chipping off of dirt and not grass. the sand traps are filled with water. it is a 15.00 round for 40.00 but when You dont have a lot of time
it is really a waste to go there.

this is a nice course but they just plugged the greens and putting was horrible, I wish GN would notify me when booking of this type of course maintenance, then I can wait a week to play. you couldn't hit in a 2' put the ball was going all over the place. but I have played here before and it is usually in good shape
. play it but call and make sure the greens are good

the course is in great shape, it is not very forgiving
so make sure you can hit where your aiming
putting is tough other than that its easy-peezy go play and have fun

I have played this course many times over the years, the biggest negative is they don't press the greens so putting is very slow, and the tee boxes are almost always in bad condition mainly due to not watering and over seeding them. if they ever took care of this course they would have a gem

The black is a good course with interesting holes. The front 9 has some short par 4 s an the back is longer Go play

I play this course all the time, its a great course, but this day they aerated all the greens just before we got there and I'm most cases didn't have time to sand and complete the job.
I think this is a problem with Golf Now not informing us of this in advance, probably because we would have never plaid the course this day.
but in general this is a good course, but you need to stay inbounds!

This is a well maintained course, it is fun to play, you have some holes that you need to place the ball and others that you can cut loose, it is well worth playing

if you like to try new courses, which I do this is a must play, the grounds are in perfect conditions, as are the tee boxes, the fairways and greens. tis course offers you both short narrow par 4s and wide open par 5s, with good course management you should be able to score here, but it is tempting to try to get on the 5st in 2 and if your not accurate it could cause you some "agida "
the rough is hard to hit out of with long irons but if you play smart you should be able to stay in the fairways.
the guys ahead of us were hitting drivers on every hole and never hitting them straight so we had a slow round but if it wasn't for them we would have played this in 4hrs easy

This is a course playing, but I'm someone who likes to walk and it was in the 90s this day and I took a cart and I'm glad I did, some of these holes are very hilly

on the short holes you are shooting onto a small green and on the long holes you are hitting a tee shot that is off to the side and not a straight shot so you cant unload without shaping the ball if your a big hitter. A smart player will have to think how they want to approach some of the tee shots.

not a lot of water but you do run into it here and there but the elevation changes are really defined

as Arnold would say, "I'll be back"

This is the first time for me on this course, and I called the pro shop before booking the tee time, they said the fairways were in pretty good shape and the greens we in very good shape
boy were they BS-ing me
the fairways were indeed fine, but the greens were like putting on Broccoli , every one of them!
nothing rolled true, it doesn't look like they pressed the greens at all this year.
I liked the lay-out of the course but the putting greens are in such bad shape they should close the course and find a grounds grew that can fix them. if you are going to paly there make sure you wait till June, maybe then it will be fixed

I have been playing Oak Lanes for years, its a good course, and some very tough putting greans.my favorite hole is 9, a par 5 down from a raised tee box, over water on the 2nd shot to a 2 tier green, I would recommend this course to anyone that is hitting at least low 100s with real score keeping, I like to walk even though I pay for a cart and you are able to walk during the week but not on weekends

This is an interesting course, the front is long and wide open and the back is cut thru the woods with many challenging fairways and blind shots.
the fairways were in good shape but the greens were slow and they were treated well by other golfers.
nobody fixes they ball marks on the greens and some of the golfers look to be hitting the greens with their club and damaging it beyond repair. this is really too bad as this is a nice round of golf.
I would like to see the greens worked on, pressed and I think then you will have a must play course.
I would recommend the course but be prepared for the greens

the course needs some rain, the fairways are getting spotty, the greens were in good shape but a little slow, I think they needed to press them, we had a good rate of play, the 4 of us hit a 4hr and 10 min round
anyone considering to play here should do it

This is a fun course, it has some interesting holes, and some hard holes that if you don't place your drive correctly you can get yourself in trouble. The only down side to this course is the carts, they have this new GPS set up and the carts shut down when you get off the cart path, near a sand trap, or near the green. it really affects the pace of the game! I will not ride in the future because it is so bad

This was a good find, the course is in good shape, the greens had some movement to them which made putting interesting. I will for sure be playing this course again and hopefully better than I did the 1st time

and the greens have some challenging puts, I would recommend it for anyone
