Horrible shape and pace of play. Horrible driving range and old golf carts. Now I see a hot deal for 50 bucks...that is criminal. Where have all the recent reviews gone. This place is the worst course in a 50 mile area. Even old abandoned courses would be a better deal.

To charge 25 bucks for a hot deal is almost criminal. The course is in horrible shape and no end in site. You are ripping people off.

They are trying to bring this course back from the dead. It's still in the process but definitely can see the effort of the new owner. Dry weather has hurt a bit but the layout is still great. A few more improvements and it's 5 stars.

Wow, JR has went down hill fast. Tee boxes are hard as a rock or off to the side in weeds. Fairways are weed filled, no repaired divots. Some idiot was spraying chemicals on the 12th fairway that had a strong odor. Eventually we caught up to a 5 some that was holding up the front 9 yet no rangers anywhere to be found. Seems Jamaica Run has given up. I see the pre-made response to all the other 1 star reviews. Its a shame because years ago this was a very nice course. PS, your bunkers are weed filled and haven't be raked in days or weeks. Its ok to rake them to start the day or end of day if you want your customers to know you care. Makes you wonder if your really cleaning the carts or not!

Great course, greens were showing late season wear and tear. Mostly people not repairing their ball Mark's. Fast greens worth the drive.

Course was in ok shape but weather has been hot and dry. The bunkers are the worst ever, either filled with water or packed mud. Either add sand or make them grass bunkers. Paved cart path is dangerous in some areas so we just drove on the grass. Still worth the money, hope they do some improvement next year.

From the road the Hawk looks great. The fairways and greens are in good condition but the rough is worse than rough. when you hit and the ball 2 feet off the fairway and you lose it, that's crazy. Its not nice rough either, too many roots hidden under and its just not mowed. The day we played the mowing crew would follow us from tee box to tee box then cut ahead and we would have to wait. Got to 18 and a league had started, maybe don't sell a tee time and let someone tee off at 1230 if a league has a shotgun start at 4.

Had not played the Falcon/Kiddie in years. It was in nice shape and a great way to sharpen your short game. Only negative is the bunkers, completely destroyed. Not raked, hard, and missing sand. The best they could do is make them grass bunkers. Keep a few on the front and back but grow grass on the rest. Other than that it was a good time and good shape.

Nice course, narrow wooded fairways, some greens small but in very good shape. Pace was slow for a Monday. No ranger on the course to speed things up. No beverage person or water on course yet it was 90 degrees. Very good shape and worth the money.

The course is usually pretty good this time of year. The non stop spring rain has filled most all of the sand traps and the greens are so soft that the unrepaired ball marks are turning to mud spots. I wont judge to harshly so wait a few days and go play community.

The Hawk at kittyhawk was in very bad condition. The fairways were mowed to about 2 inches so you got no roll at all. I lost two balls on straight down the middle tee shots because the grass was so high in the fairway. The rough was a joke, it just wasn't mowed. Weeds everywhere and half filled mud pits that were supposed to be water features. Greens were OK except the few that had tire tracks right next to the cup.
Staff were nice, beverage girl came around several times but other than that, it was a waste of money. I can't believe they charge 30.00 for 18 w cart.

Played for the first time, the course was nice and very interesting. The greens have been sanded to get ready for next year so putting is a joke. We had to play in-between a tournament so play was very slow. Even with this, I will play next year just to see how nice the greens will be.

First time playing SHGC and I had a good time. Staff was very friendly and helped us since we were first time visitors. Greens were fast and true, fairways and tee boxes need grass seed and water. As long as you don't mind rolling your ball to find some grass, it's not a problem. This is not a problem on every hole. About a 25-30 minute country drive from Centerville, I will play again.

The course was in very good shape. The only negative was all the ball marks on the greens, if players would repair their ball marks the greens would be perfect. Everything else was very good, greens were fast but true. I will play Madden again.

This course is in good shape. It was wet from rain but still played well. A bit narrow on a few holes, watch for flying golf balls. Greens were in great shape and most had some break.

Great course, great layout. A mixture of long and short holes and good use of water. 18th hole is an island green and a great way to finish. The fairways are a bit rough and since we had a good summer, I would have expected them to be better.

With a little work it could be a 5 star course. Start with the sink hole on number 2 cart path. If you don't pay attention you will wreck your cart and get hurt. Some of the tee markers are covered up by tall grass, club house is a trailer and the driving range is an open field. The putting green is nice and the fairways tee to green are nice. The greens are in great shape and not a straight putt to be found. I'm being tough because this could be a great course.

I have played Holly Hills in the past many times. The course was in very good shape and the greens nice and fast. The bunkers were ok but could use some more sand or made softer. The coolers and outside free water is a nice touch.

I have not played Rollandia for a few years. They have removed and trimmed a few trees and the course is in great shape. I plan to go back.
