Camelback Golf Club - Ambiente Course
Played On 09/12/2019A nice challenging course
Almost a links style course but without a lot of the trouble of a links course. The fairway bunkering provides a good challenge when placing the tee shot and around the greens, there is adequate bunkering as well. Most of the holes are straight with the exception of 1 or 2 which can make the play a little boring, but the landing areas are tight and you have to be precise to score well from the tips. The sand wasn't in the best condition out there however, it was pretty hard and playing a blast wasn't really an option because of it. All in all a fun afternoon at a reasonable price.
The Phoenician Golf Club
Played On 09/11/2019A redesigned resort Course...
This course is 6500 from the tips, and at a par 71, is actually more challenging than it sounds. Landing areas are tight and the par 3s are long. It was completely redesigned last year so the bermuda greens are quite slow and break far less than anticipated (that will improve with a season or two). The sand is perfection though and while we don't really want to be in the sand, when you have to make a sand shot, these are among the best I have played out of. It's a typical resort course: a little shorter, impeccably maintained, incredible service, high end carts and facilities. I wouldn't want to pay the $100-120 USD that they charge without discount to golf it, so at that price I wouldn't recommend it, but for $50...sure...it was enjoyable.
Thank you for the feedback. Glad to hear the course was in great shape when you played. Glad to hear the service was excellent, as well. We strive to deliver an amazing experience to our guests, and happy to hear that was the case for you. Come back and play soon!
