Wolf Creek Golf Club
Played On 03/14/2023Great course with amazing views
Wolf Creek is an amazing piece of property that just so happens to have a golf course on it! There is a wow factor on almost every hole with some amazing views. The course itself was in great shape but is quite difficult. Some tough drives and forced carries off the tee add to that. Although if you are hitting the ball well you still can score but danger lurks just about everywhere! The course is quite expensive but was worth it to play once or twice. The only slight negative I would have is the condition of the carts. This is a tough course for the carts too so I was surprised our cart didn’t have better brakes and tires! A little scary when you are coming down a 100 foot decline! Especially with the little bit of rain we had. Overall this is a great course and a fun layout. Make sure to bring a camera…. and a few extra balls.
Scottsdale Silverado Golf Club

Course is just ok. Not worth the price in my opinion. Front 9 layout is not great but the back 9 is definitely better. Some fun holes on the back. Play was quite slow too with no rangers in sight.
Quintero Golf Club
Played On 04/14/2022Great course!
One of the best courses I’ve ever played. Definitely my favorite course in the Phoenix area. Great conditions, fun layout, staff is excellent. Course is very spread out too. Fairways not lined with houses like so many other courses in the area. Worth the drive out there!
The Cedar River at Shanty Creek

Love this course. One of my Up North favorites. Fun layout. Lots of variety with the holes. Mostly generous fairways and large greens. I try to play it a handful of times very summer.
The Chief Golf Course
Played On 07/03/2020Decent course, fun round
The Chief is a decent course but could be better. It is a little gimmicky at times with a few too many blind shots and no information on the tee boxes or scorecard to let you know what kind of tee shot you need to hit at times. Would be easy to add some small signs to inform players of layup distance, etc. They have also rearranged the holes since I played there last and the course doesn’t always flow great now and the signage between holes is definitely lacking.
All that being said... it is a fun course! There are some really good holes with some great downhill approaches to greens. We had a good time and will play again if price is below $50. The course also was not super busy so pace of play was good... especially after we got past a 6some. :)
The bar and patio area looked nice but they were not open before or after our round.
