Halesowen Golf Club
Played On 05/04/2017halesown golf club visit in may 2017
We played on 04.05.17, we found the welcome friendly, the clubhouse is a real gem and we ordered a hot meal prior to our round, (we travel around the area and try and play as many courses as possible) the menu was good and the food also very good at a very reasonable cost , however the day was slightly marred by us being given a buggy which the chap in the pro-shop advised was slightly dodgy with a rather hit and miss accelerater pedal....(only one available) in fact it packed up completely on the 12 tee, so we had to head back to the clubhouse and find another.....it was sorted out though! the course is well kept with some interesting challeging holes if a slighly odd layout? but sadly as we have said many times a lot of these members clubs which are now opening themselves up to more vistors need to make sure there is proper signage around the course!! the members are fine but we found Halesowen the worst to date for navigating from tee to tee.....we only saw 3 signs pointing to the next tee position! one other troubling thing on the day was on two occasions we had golf balls raining down very near us on the green when we were putting out, this is clearly a very dangerous and rather stupid thing to do! you would had thought folk would have more common sense really....to conclude I would say any score under 95 here and you've had a good day!! at our handicap of 18 that is.
