I read that this course is part of the OSU Agronomy program at OSU. Can that be true. Worst course conditions I have every played. Find somewhere else to play for $46. WOW.

Played On 07/26/2015Just a public course
Played the course with my 3 handicap son. I'm a 12. Played on a Sunday EARLY morning and it seemed that there were more golfers on hand than the allotted tee times. We waited longer than expected to tee off. One of the biggest issues with the course is the length of tees. You either play at 6100 or 6700 yards (approx) from the set of tees they offer. 6100 is just too short for anyone that plays an average game or better. I decided to play the 'tips' with my son, which was no big deal for me on the front nine, but the back nine was a different story. Starting at #12, the course started to get very long. In particular the 'triangle' as the ranger called it. #14-16. Not that it is going to happen, they need to have a better variety of tee selections. On a positive, the greens and speeds were much nicer that The Quarry that we played the day before.

Played the course with my son (3 handicap) - I'm a (12). Selected it as it is ranked the best public course in the area. Don't play too many public courses, but the Quarry seemed a bit pricey for the experience. I expected the views to be much more scenic and the layout to have more changes in elevation. The biggest problem was that I expected the top ranked course to have better green speeds. Putts simply would not 'roll out' - balls quickly came to quick 'stops'. On the other hand, there are some outstanding holes. On the bad side, there are about 3 holes, that just are not a good golf hole (blind drives that are not good on public courses, plus some holes that don't give you any target to hit a drive).
Hi u000001098324,
Thank you for playing with us. We are glad that you and your son gave us a chance. We are sorry that you did not find us impressive and found the greens to be slow. We appropriate the feedback.
We hope you will give us another chance
Best Wishes,
