Single player review

First time here thanks to a great Hot Deal promo for an early morning time. Arrived early to check in and let them know I’m available to go out earlier if they need it. Was told to go to the first tee 5 mins before tee time. Had time to go out on the range and hit a few. They had complimentary range balls(small bucket) outside and it was based on honor system of 1 small bucket per player, so I thought that was very nice.

Went to first tee as instructed and no one was there nor on the course. Waited 5 mins past my tee time and still no one so I decided to tee off on my own. The course was in good condition. Tee boxes were good. Greens were good with exceptions of divots(same comment like most, FIX YOUR DIVOTS and fix another one as courtesy). I had a little issue with the fairways, super wet and over water on a lot of spots that were not hounds under repair but I guess they were anticipating the heat for the afternoon(98 degrees). A couple of mud ball situations and no bounce or roll on good fairway shots. They roped off some of the fairways for repair so I had to lift and drop to play a couple of my second shot in the rough.

Don’t know if it was just me but starting the 10-11 hole, had a strong parsley smell on the entire hole; no water around. The water holes with were not as pretty because the water was stale and looked dark green/blue.

Made the turn and notice a Marshall checking people in; did not see him earlier. Caught up to the group ahead of me by the 11th par 3. They were a 2 some and wanted to play on their own. Asked them what time they started and was told the tee time before mine so I had to do some waiting till the 15th par 3 where they let me play through

Local course knowledge would have been helpful. Was not aware of running OB stream running down fairway in front of the 9th hole. The back pin location was super tough on the up hill 12th hole since I had to drive up to see where the pin was. Same with the 18th dog leg left after your second shot. Pin locations in the back were hard to reach and some greens were tiered so that would have help if known for my club selection.

Overall I had a good time and will definitely recommend!

Windy day - Only the brave come out to play

I do not mind a little breeze but 20-50 mph winds was tough. First time playing here. Easy to find and plenty of parking early in the morning. Checked in early and starter got me going out early. Course was in good shape except some of the tee boxes were patchy or not leveled. Greens were good, bunkers had sand in them and the fairway was decent. Front 9 pretty open. Back 9 was more narrow and some elevated shots(10th hole with the wind blowing into you going up hill was extremely tough). Overall a good day playing with good company. Course was nice and pace of play was good. Wish it was not that windy to give a player a chance but that’s Mother Nature testing out what you can do. Will definitely come play here again if I’m ever out in that area.

Good day for golf

Second time coming here, but first time playing post COVID. Did not know what to expect. You will need to make a reservation, they are discouraging walk on like most courses are now doing. There was a person sitting before you reach the starter asking for your name and if it was not on the list, she will not let you in or if you’re too early, she tells you to come back later. She stated practice area was close so you do not to be crowd/wait around till 15 mins before tee off. Was finally able to get in and tees off. Pace of play was good. They got groups out about every 10 mins. We were a 4 some and we eventually caught up to the group in front of us who were a 3 some by hole 12? Guess we were playing fast and did not stop of food. Only complaint was last hole layout is weird. Dogleg right but fairway on a mound in the middle. Go right and you wind up on the dirt cart path and close by hole 10. Go right and hole plays longer. People we were waiting to play hole say it’s challenging but I guess I was annoyed by then because of the wait to play. But overall, good day. Glad to be out. Recommend course and will play again

Not your average course

Got out on a great day to try out a new course. Saw this course at 4 stars so I had to see for myself.
Pro: Friendly staff especially the starter, can’t hurt to have a cutie girl behind the counter.
Tee boxes were very nice
Pace was ok even after starting late in the day(9:30).
Got to practice teeing up with my 3 wood a lot.
Good front nine except for hole #3, a palm tree guarding the hole with bunkers on each side of the hole(funny, not challenging)
Con: very short course. Was unable to pull out the driver for most of the holes because they were all under 300 yards and the group in front were a little slow Laid up a lot; even on a par 5.
They had repairs going on so they moved the tee boxes up. Some of the shots have a dog leg and you had to tee up 50 yards with a tree sticking out so even a straight shot was bad
Back 9 was very weird. (Ex. Hole 12 is a short par 3 on the left and the tee box for #13 was fenced off on the right and about 50 yards in front of #12 tee box. Since the group in front was a little slow and we had a 3 some behind us, no where to take cover; kind of unsafe.
Elevation changes are somewhat extreme and a couple of holes at super tight on the fairway.
Overall, if you are a weekend warrior and want to play using your shorter clubs and don’t mind the course layout, it’s a ok course, not for me thought.

Some fairways were bear. WHAT HAPPENED

Saw a good deal on Golfnow for this course and took advantage of it since I got the day off. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. Good start but when you hit the course is when thing went down hill. I played here about 2 years ago and remembered how tight this course way which I find very challenging but I also remembered how nice it was. Not the same this time. Fairways were like dirt. I guess they are planning on reseeding and cut the grass down to nothing. The greens are ok but GUYS, PLEASE FIX YOUR DIVOTS!!! I had to fix mine and 2 others on every hole. Even the people I played with said this place sucks and they’ve been playing here regularly. I thought the deal was too good to be true and it was. Very disappointed on the condition of the course. Sad

Great place to play at a great price

Course new to me opening some tee times to gain more income. Great round with other first time players. Greens are a little hard to read. Members get priority treatment over you so be patient. Wish all amenities were available. I would have paid extra just to try. Overall a great place. I would definitely go back
