The Pearl Golf Links - West Course

From someone that has played this course often over the past 15 years, I was disappointed to see how the on-course amenities have degraded over the years. There was one portable bathroom on the entire East course. Permanent bathroom facilities were all out-of-service. The women in our group were not happy about that.
All pin positions this day were 6' from the edge of the green, mostly at the back and mostly at a break in slope making it very difficult for recreational golfers.

Besides a few fairways and tee boxes with thin grass cover, their overall condition was alright for March. The greens however were challenging for a recreational golfer. Many greens had areas of fungus damage with no grass and all were hard and fast. I would hope the green condition would improve as the warmer weather returns but this course is not on my list for returning to play in March.

We found very poor greens (lots of fungus and little over good grass). The fairways and tee boxes were a little better but not much. I've played this course a few times over the last 6 years, primarily because it is convenient location and a good price but the course conditions this time have convinced me that there many more courses worth my money than this one.
