Links at Norman Golf & Country Club
Played On 04/19/2019Great value w/Golf Now app...
Course is typical of "The Links" chain of courses, set in & around apt complex. Some of the tee box's are difficult to find & they could use better signage how to get to the next tee box when you finish some holes. Greens were mostly nice but inconsistent - some slow & rough, others nice & fast - but it is early spring & have had mega-rains this year. Some holes w/blind shots, so again some signage would help as well as some yardage markers which were sorely lacking, as are ball washers (most were missing or dry) or drinking water stations.
But all those are minor faults as this is a nice scenic fun course to golf. And w/the Golf Now app deal it's only $15 but that is only available @ 2 tee times daily so you pretty much have to plan it & book/pay for it @ least the day before you play.

We were disappointed that the fairways were so dried out with hard turf especially considering all the rains that the area has had the past couple of weeks. By contrast we played the links at Stillwater just a few miles away 3 days ago and the fairways were quite lush and even soggy in some places. But these fairways at Cimarron were very hard and your irons bounce off the turf so that you can't get a truly accurate shot with your irons. Very disappointing. Also there did not seem to be any trash cans or water stations at any of the holes. They only had a couple of port a potties for restrooms on the course no real restroom buildings.
Considering the golf now price is twice that of the links I would have to recommend definitely playing the links over Cimarron as a much better deal

Their ways were lush and green though some areas were a bit muddy and soggy from all the recent rain. Some very challenging holes especially 18 and I found it difficult as this was my 1st time playing there. A couple of holes were difficult to find and could have used better signage but over all it was an extremely enjoyable course to play. For only $10 on the golf now ideal it was a fantastic bargain. I was running late for my tea time but the staff was very friendly and accommodated me when I got there.I would highly recommend this course toOne and all. In fact I had purchased another hot deal to return there today And was greatly disappointed to find that the course was close as they were aerating all of the greens today which should greatly improve Several them which were a bit rough but none of them were badd. We ended up playing a nearby course at Cimarron trails which was twice the money but 4 times as horrible as the links with dried out hard fairways. Bottom line the links at Stillwater is the best deal around and we look forward to returning .

Staff very friendly and accommodating. I was running late and they worked me in with no problem. Course in pretty good shape for all the recent rains. Challenging layout with some narrow tree lined fairways. Some confusing holes that could have more signage. Some sloping fairways that run your ball into rough or water. Lots of water, some hidden if you don't know the course, which I didn't. Hole 18 especially tough...lost 4 balls on that hole lol.
My wife got tied up and missed joining me but they gave me a rain check for her...really nice especially considering it was a Golf Now deal for only $10 , which is a fantastic deal for this course. Absolutely worth the drive from the city. I will definitely be back.
