Much improved

The course is coming along. The new golf carts are great. Nice upgrade. A couple of the greens and tee boxes are a little rough. Some of the surrounding areas near the greens are still bare and rocky. However it is nice seeing the sprinklers back in action the majority of the course is greening nicely.

Improved conditions needed

City ofCape Coral, please step in and do what is necessary to bring this course back to a course we can be proud of.
Weeds are overtaking the fairways and now the greens. A lot of the grass in dried out , most of the tee boxes are just dirt, the areas surrounding the greens are bare and rocky and there is a lot of branches and dead foliage just off the cart paths.
There are so many trees missing there is no reason the areas around there couldn't be cleaned and have new grass growing there. Does the city have plans for the course? We'd like to here from you. .

Needs major work

The course was coming along nicely before IAN.
However since IAN the course is deteriorating daily.
The tee boxes are horrible, the fairways are bare and there is brush everywhere. This was a storm like no other and major renovations are needed.
It would be nice to hear from the course as far their future plans . How are they intending to bring the course back?

Recovering from Ian

Considering the amount of damage that the course sustained the clean-up is progressing nicely.
The greens are in very good condition, the fairways are clean and green and most of the t boxes are green.
There are still a lot of downed trees off to the sides that need to be removed so we treated that a gur!
The grounds crew are doing great work!
The course definitely has a different look and feel to it.

Rude finish

We have played here many times and for the most part enjoyed ourselves.
We live here year round and put up with the rate increase during season . I don't understand why the residents of the state aren't treated differently but it's like that at all the courses.
This past week as we were finishing, and the clouds were moving in and thunder was upon us. After 18 two of our threesome grabbed their bags and went through the hedges to their cars parked near by before the rains came. I brought one cart back and Mick brought the other cart back. .
A gentleman came out of the pro shop and began lecturing Mick (78) yrs old about walking through the shrubs.
A simple please don't do that again would have sufficed but this was a lecture to a senior Viet Nam combat vet.
Very disrespectful I M O. If this is how you plan on treating patrons I would think it won't be long before you lose a major part of your full time resident players.
This is a nice course and we always take care of the workers. There is always a five spot left in the cart.
We will play elsewhere for the time being.

Great shape

The course has held up well through the season.
Tee boxes are in great shape as are the greens.
I find it better to be a little short if you miss the greens you can still make a par with a decent chip or 2 good putts.
The greens are rolling true just make sure you get it there on the up hill putts. We had several come up 1 roll short.
The staff as always are super nice.
Going back Sunday!

Repairs are happening!

The greens are in very good condition. They roll true and are fast. Nice! The fairways are showing signs of wear due to the busy season, but they are still green and playable.
The good news is finally, the cart paths are being replaced! Yeah! The work is in progress so be aware of the workers. We had to modify a couple of tee locations so Noone would be injured by a wayward shot. Great job Coral Oaks!
I also heard they may be getting new carts in October. Wouldn't that be nice. Hopefully the prices won't skyrocket.

Needs help

The course is showing signs of wear and tear.
The grounds crew does a pretty good job maintaining the course but there could be improvement.
The cart paths are horrendous! The fairways need more grass and a thorough cleaning of the areas around and under the trees would help the appearance. Not sure what can be done about all the roots, but they are impeding into the cart paths and fairways. The city should definitely invest money into this course before it's too late.

Fun fun fun!

Nice exec course. The fairways are okay, and the greens are in good condition and fast. Combine that with undulating greens and you need to make a very good approach shot to hold the greens. Some of the pin placements make that a challenge. Try it!

Navigation is tough

This course needs watering and new cart paths!
There were some repairs to the paths on #10 and #11. The rest of the course is still in distress.

Please maintain the course

I live here and I understand in season more people are playing , but the course needs attention, water, and cart path repair. OMG it kills you back if you stay on the cart path. People are creating their own paths to the next tee box. By the way aren't tee boxes supposed to have grass on them? My God, again please give some TLC , PLEASE! . This is a great city course please don't let it disappear.

My aching back

The course is in good shape especially with the heavy rains lately. The greens are fast and true the tee boxes are nice and the fairways are in good shape
The problem is the cart paths.
The city of cape coral must install new cart paths, they are in very bad shape. If you dont pay 100% attention to where you are going you quite possibly could herniate a disc!

Needs attention

Due to poor drainage conditions I usually don't play this course during rainy season. Back nine is cpo a lot of days and I can't walk that much so I don't play much.
However went out yesterday and oh my, I couldn't believe the condition of the course.
The tee boxes are horrendous, the fairways are very thinly covered with grass and the greens have almost the same amount of sand as the traps.
The whole course looks neglected. There seemed to be ample people running machinery and putting mulch around the newly planted trees but the course seems neglected. Hopefully they get it together before conditions worsen . I'll stay away for awhile. The way it is i wouldn't want to pay season prices to play.

Great job!

We play here several times a year. This course is very nice to play. The fairways , tee boxes, greens and bunkers are in great condition. The fairways are lush and one can only hope they stay this way. The grounds crew really do a great job with this course. Once you get familiar with the layout you should be able to avoid the water and start posting some good scores. Be careful on the Bermuda rough around the greens it will grab your wedge and the ball will not go anywhere. The greens roll true and a smooth stroke will get the ball to the hole!
