Despite my dislike for Jack's design, this place is worth the trip from Scottsdale. Staff friendly, nice pace, good conditions, Saguaro and Tortolita out of overseed and very pretty in contrast with rugged Tortolita backdrop. Greens had nice speed and were smooth. Outside service was minimal but cart person attentive. Went to play golf not eat/drink. Good experience overall. Always is fun.

Course has grown on me as the years go on. Staff was nice and conditions good except bumpy greens and bunkers. Greens are filling in nicely but bunkers are average at best. Suggest they take a few out in the fairways and concentrate greenside. Panks' deep fairway bunkers get rocky in this environment, some are unplayable. I get the locations but they should do what Aguila did, save some $/water and fill some in. Overall a real nice track, Panks did well here..

This is a great course, I have played it many times. Not in the greatest shape I have ever seen it in. As usual staff was friendly and organized and equipment was clean and efficient and layout is interesting challenging. Didn't bring the A game and that is required to score here. Great views of valley from high points.

This is a good golf course. From the pro shop through the round, a class operation, friendly and welcoming. Conditions were excellent and pace of play 3.5 hours. Traps well maintained, fairways full and there is heavy sticky overseeded rough. Greens rolled about 10.

Played Burro and Tortolita, Burro cart path only but greens were great despite recent overseed. Great value and conditions for a former PGA event venue and they treat you like a member. Beautiful 5 star hotel next door and housing does not intrude.

Wonderful and fun layout. Hard course with or without wind. Good conditions and worth the ride from Scottsdale.

Love the course a great value. You can drive it in play, greens still tough to hit. High handicappers bring extra pills. Saguaro/Tortolita best nines. Good match play course for pros, tough to score. Conditions fine, a bit windy but fun. Worth the drive from Scottsdale. Generally no place to get a drink here on Tuesday but there are plenty of places nearby in the old Pueblo.
