Greens were good. Fairways were good, too. Tee boxes were pretty good. The course layout is not my favorite. The Cypress Bend course is better, imo. Staff was nice, and people on the course were nice, too. Much water on the course, but I can’t say I saw one alligator. I did see a turtle, though. I saw ducks, too. I was a single and my round was under 2.5 hours long. Ground was soft. 1 ball was deeply plugged by a green, and I couldn’t find it for awhile. The course is very good and green. Craft Farms is great. It’s very high-quality.
Thank you for taking the time to review our course. We look forward to your return visit.
Cypress Bend at The Craft Farms Resort
Played On 07/03/2019My Review
The Cypress Bend course was outstanding. The course was in very good condition. It looked good. It was very green, and greens were great. Fairways were good, too.
Pace was fast. I was a single, and my 18-hole round was two and a half hours long. I caught up to some people on the back nine, though, and I had to wait briefly at times on the back nine.
Staff was super nice.
Good place to practice. Good driving range, but the driving range was closing early at 3. Range balls were included, which I like. Good practice greens and a practice bunker, too. Craft Farms is great. I recommend visiting there. I don't usually give a course 5 stars, but I am giving this one 5 stars.
DeeWinch, Thank you so much for the 5 Start Review, we can't wait until your next visit.

Greens were probably aerated very recently. Many holes. Greens weren’t the best, but the course was very good and green. I played 18 in about 2 hours with a cart. Fast pace. A good, long driving range, a practice putting green with some different holes, a practice bunker, and a chipping green were present at the course. 2 thumbs up. Very good.

I played on the the Crossings course. Thumb up to the course. It's high-quality. Slow play, though, but pace was good on the back nine. Greens were very fast and in good condition. Bunkers were thick with much sand. The course looked good and was very green. Many trees. Beautiful scenery. Nice people on the course including my playing partners who I met at the course.

Splendid. Beautiful. Lovely. High-quality. Greens were excellent. Fairways were good. Good views. Very green course. Many bunkers on the course, and bunkers were firm. Irons only on the driving range. Range balls were included and available at the range. Practice green was good. GPS unit on cart.

Looked good. Very green. Good layout with much water and many sand traps. One bunker on the course was firm. Soft ground near some greens after much rain recently. 2 balls were embedded by 2 greens. Greens were slow. Pace of play was slow. Very crowded on the course. Not very fun. People on the course were nice and friendly. Good, large practice putting green. An area where I could practice chipping, pitching, and sand shots was near the practice putting green. Long driving range, and I was able to hit balls on the range late after my round. Range balls cost extra. Good wildlife. Geese, deer, turtles.

Great views. Good layout. Overall, condition is pretty good. The practice putting green condition is not great, but greens on the course seem to be better. Good wildlife. Geese, turtles, ducks, and birds. Many houses by fairways. Many bunkers on the course and much water. Pace was a bit slow. I was behind a 3some, and they weren't inviting me to play through. Pace was great on many holes, though.
Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed the course. The putting green by the clubhouse has been looking poorer than the rest of the course lately and we are taking steps to getting it looking better. It gets a lot of traffic on it with people practicing and unfortunately it has multiple mutations of grass in it. We have put fertilizer, insecticides, herbicides and a wetting agent out to help kick it into gear for the spring / summer season. We are also looking at possibly adding in another practice green with the new driving range. This will spread out the wear and tear on that green. Hope to see you again soon.

The course was in very good condition. Fairways were good, tee boxes were good, and greens were good, too. Greens were very fast. Maybe the fastest greens that I’ve ever played. The course was very green, but a little brown, too. I saw a gator on the course, which I like. It was out on land by some water. Much water and many sand traps at Gulf Shores. Some traffic on the front nine, but I was able to skip ahead and have great pace on the back nine.
A good place to practice.
Good driving range with mats and many range balls are included on the range.
Good, large practice putting green is near the driving range, and an area where I could practice chipping, sand shots, and pitching is near the green.
Gulf Shores Golf Club is a little expensive. I can play for much cheaper at nearby courses that are very similar. The course is high-quality, though, and the staff is nice.
Stonebrook Golf Course
Played On 03/25/2019Stonebrook Review
The course looked pretty good. The course was in very good condition. Greens were in pretty good condition, but one putt hit a small divot in a green that may have prevented my ball from going in the hole.
I was able to walk the course, which I like.
The course landscape was really rolling or hilly like the Glen Lakes Vista-Dunes Course in Alabama.
Good practice putting green.
Good practice chipping green.
An area near the chipping green and driving range where I could practice pitching.
Good, long driving range.
Not too expensive.
Staff was nice.
The course is great.
Pace was excellent. I was a single walker, and my 18 hole round was probably about 3 hours long.
I recommend playing there. The place is special.
Spring Hill College Golf Club
Played On 03/15/2019Spring Hill Review
The course was great, but I was playing behind a fivesome, and my round was nearly 4 1/2 hours long, which is very long. An 18 hole round without a cart was cheap, $15.00, and the course is high-quality. Beautiful scenery. Great layout. Very green. Good condition, but greens were very slow.
Blackstone Golf Course
Played On 03/12/2019Blackstone Review
Fabulous course. It’s a great golf course.
Greens were very good, but a small dirt patch/mound was on one green.
Fairways were very good. Some were narrow.
The rough wasn’t too deep or thick.
The course looked good. Very green.
Good wildlife on the course. I saw some small animal on the course that looked like a large squirrel and a groundhog. It was very close to me.
The area is a great place to be.
Good smell on the course.
Good sound of wildlife on the course, too.
Not too expensive. Affordable.
Practice putting green was good and large.
Driving range was very long.
Great, kind, helpful, young woman working at the pro shop.
I like that Blackstone allowed me to walk.
Walking the course was strenuous at times. It was not a flat course. Steep slopes by some fairways.
Many trees along fairways. Highly wooded.
Penalties for wayward shots at this course.
The course was difficult, and pace was slow.
I was a single playing behind a threesome. We were all at a tee box on a par 3, but nobody in the group invited me to play through. My round was nearly 4 hours long, which is very long for a single. I had to wait often behind that group.
The course was high-quality, though.
