For those of you who have NOT played Dorado for 3 years you will be pleasantly surprised what the new owners have started to achieve there.
The really old shabby proshop shack is gone and you are greeted with a stunning new building and new power carts and practice greens and the start to the first tee is modern and tidy.
Short course and small greens , BUT the playing surfaces ie: fairways & greens are in very good condition.We walked and found it very easy to get around. numerous drinking stations are there but NO ball washers YET.
Very nice course to practice your iron play and short game.
Will definately go there again to hone up on our wedge play.
All in all we had a great day , so do yourself a favour and go try it out.

This is a great course for sharpening your skills. Greens were excellent even though they are very undulating, a pleasure to putt on ,
Overall the experience you get from this mid length layout is well worth the visit.
My critisism is that they need permanant tee markers installed on the tee boxes so that club selection is more accurate to measure as they move the tee blocks to different locations,
My other peeve is that for the first time visitor the direction to the 17th tee is not there and it is very misleading to know which direction to thake in the street of houses.
IDID mention this to the pro shop saff the last 2 times I played last year and this year nothing has been done, BUT do not misunderstand me I will be back lots of times as it is a great placeto visit,

TOO MUCH WATER APPLIED OVER THE CURSE WHICH RESULTS IN TOO MANY WET SPOTS , EQUALS NO RUN (THIS WAS THE CASE LAST YEAR WHEN i PLAYED ) THE GREENS WERE FAST BUT FAIR. A PLEASURE TO PUTT ON BUT UNDULATING CARE IS NEEDED.
I WILL BE BACK AGAIN

Course conditions are ALWAYS excellent and ALL the staff are very good at what they do.

Fast greens, fairways were very good with lots of grass and the greens were excellent and fast.

Worth the time to play it

We had waited over 2 years to play this again and although under new management it really has not improved very much.

MUST PLAY......Is overused a lot BUT this is a course that meets that criterior. It has a lot of forced carries from the tees, so make sure you use the correct tees
we played the white tees and found it was less stressfull.
Go treat yourself and you will not be dissapointed.

I was very pleased wih the layout and condition of the course.
The sandtraps are GUR because of the floods/insurance claim etc. BUT don't be put off as it really is quite a challenge . nice layout and greens were very good to putt on. Cost was great and replay rate is very good .
Do yourself a favour and go try your skills against it you will find it a challenge.
I played well for a 13 hdcp shot a 41 and a 43.

Although the fairways were little hard , the greens were good

Really good layout and holes 10 & 11 have gullies across the fairway so beware.
greens were very fast but fair.Play the correct tees and you can have a great day.

great layout I alway make sure I play this every visit to tucson.

condition i always good , greens are diferant grass and srrm very slow. which I do not lke . faster greens are easier to read and putt.

I enjoy the dell urich courseonly a this facility, the layout is interesting for me, I took my friends and they said it as the best of all te munis in tucson.
The need more direction signs to some tee boxes as t was not clar to my fiends as to which way to go sometimes.

we play his course every we come down, the pace of play is usually good, play the correct tees as there are a lot of forcd carries.
the colour of the geens look patchy BUT they are great and fast. love this course.

Pay attention to the hazards, some are out of view, if you have time drive the cart forward so you can see the things around the green, it was a 1st visit for my playing partners, and as I told them where difficulties where they told me afterwards they would have been in a lot more trouble off the tees and around the greens. we all had a great day and they said they would be back because of what they learned that day.
My only negative is they want you to play in just over 4 hours but INSIST you use carts 90 degrees even if you hit your shot 100 yards they want you to go back onto the path and then forward to your ball then cut across again . this takes so much time over 18 holes because the pair in the cart do not hit the same distances .
BUT,................will be back and will be bringing my friends.

lots of blind shots and forced carries, my playing partners were not the best companions and we had to keep searching for balls on every hole.one even quit after nine holes as he was playing so bad .the course was very busy which added to the slow play BUT I wil always come and play it every year. well kept and staff very friendly.

ALL the psitive and rave reviews I read were correct and not exgerated at all . Very proffesionally run . JOE in the proshop was very helpful with suggestions and the starter MAC was very plasant and accomodating.
I can't say enough good things about my day.
he fairways looked like my wife had vacumed tem nd the greens ere fast and true. My drives arte only 210 so I played the Silver tees and was easily able to cary the desert into the faiway with no stress. SO play the correct tees and you WILL have a great day.
13 hdcp shot an 84 with 2 penalty strokes.
please go and treat yourself it really is affordable .

All the negative reviews are correct, I play because the layout is good, and we take prefered lies and move our putts away
from the patches. For a cost of say 3 range buckets go and play.
Change your expectations and you wil enjoy the day.
