Always enjoy playing Craigielaw. It's the best opportunity for your average golfer to get on to a links course in East Lothian as most are unattainable except for possibly Gullane. I know people who are critical of the domed greens but if that's not your bag then don't play it. I for one enjoy the challenge. The fairways , as for many links courses this year are dry, hard and fast but the greens are green and playing perfectly.

Pace of play was a bit slow today due to a group of overseas visitors playing a 4 ball in front of us after coming off a 20 hour flight but they took a break after the first 9 and pace picked up. Ultimately their opportunity to play a Scottish Links is limited and they are entitled to relish it.
