Woodmont Golf & Country Club
Played On 04/28/2018This course is a beast
Coming into Saturday I was riding a golf high and Woodmont reminded me why golf is a beautiful game. This course is challenging and requires you to hit shots with every club in your bag. I hit a fade and this course was not condusive to that at all and will play much better for those who hit a draw. Great clubhouse and range, super friendly staff and we teed off right on time on a Saturday afternoon. Definitely recommend this course but if you’re playing from the blues you better bring your A game.
Woodland Hills Golf Club
Played On 04/27/2018Beginning to love this course
This was my third time playing Woodland Hills and I guess the third time is a charge because I finally broke 90 shooting an 88. Very strategic course that you can really score on if you keep it in play. I have a left to right shot and it requires a couple up and overs to keep drives in play making the course more condusive to a draw player. I got a hot deal with a buddy and paid a little more than 20$ and it was more than worth it. Pace of play was great because it was 9:30 on a Friday morning. I will be back at Woodland Hills for sure.
Southland Golf & Country Club
Played On 03/24/2018Don’t let the picture fool you
Let me start this review by saying I was super excited to play this course for the first time after looking at pictures and course details on the internet prior to pulling up. It was a Saturday but still from the time we walked in the club house it was madness. They didn’t have record of our tee time and I don’t event know if they’re computer was working. The man asked me how much I was “supposed to be” paying and I paid. The range was small and in terrible condition. They were out of carts and we got off almost 30 minutes after our tee time. The pace of play was terrible with no Marshall was no where to be found. I can’t be mad at myself because it is a public course with decent prices and it was a Saturday afternoon but I did not enjoy my round after I finally finished close to 6 hours later. I guess you get what you pay for and this was the case at Southland. The greens and fairways were super dry and not in good shape. If it wouldn’t have been slammed and the course looked like it did in the pictures I would be come back but until then I will take my business elsewhere.
