Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Course
Played On 03/26/2017A little mowing goes a long way
The grass just off the fairways is awful! 3 feet high and rising. If you don't hit the fairway dead center forget it. Just off it (which most amateurs tend to be) and you can forget it. DON'T LOOK FOR YOUR BALL JUST DROP!! We hit several shots just that one hopped to the edge of the fair way (even to the front) only to ride up and find nothing, To drive up an hour and a half for that sucks. Fellas, we will work on striping the fairways dead center on every shot, if you pull out the mower a couple times a month.
If courses want to make the game more enjoyable, speed up pace of play, get more people out on the course thus making more money, THEN DO SOME GROOMING!! The course will still play challenging without the jungle to the left, right and center of the fairways.
Lake Chabot Golf Course - Executive Par 3 Course
Played On 10/17/2014This was my Grandfather's course!
I enjoyed my short round for $5. It was more about the opportunity to play on the course my Grandfather played for years before he passed in 2010. Thats when I picked up the game and fell in love with it!

I played with some friends who drove up from Sac. The staff was standoffish and somewhat rude. But we were there to golf so whatever. The course was nice with the exception of locals who act like they are on the PGA Tour and conduct themselves like they own the place. Several times as we waited for the group ahead of us, the group behind us hit up on us. Again we were there to golf. We'll come back however I wish people could be a little nicer. I was a bit embarrassed by the actions of those in my community.

We played for $9 at 6:10 pm. Only got a few holes in before dark. Greens are awful! Grandama always said "you get what you pay for". So true!

Nice course. Good condition. Would have been nice if they had yard markers with layouts and numbers for each hole. Coming off of the 16th we went back to the 5th b/c the sign to the 17th tee box faces the wrong way!
Brentwood Golf Club - Creekside/Hillside Course
Played On 06/08/2014Hello Your House is on a Golf Course!
Good times. Decent price. Water stations ran out of Cold water and nobody came to refil on a day when it was 103! Only saw Cart Girl once. We survived. Worst part. Homeowners who act like they just woke up and someone put a golf course in their back yard! Some "old bag" came out screaming, not because a ball hit her home but because a guy was about to hit a ball off of grass that she deemed her "back yard". Its all grass get a sign! We were polite and tried to move on but she would not let it go.

Great course. Great staff. Pace of play was even cool. Bit of a drive and kinda expensive for my skill level and that of my boys, but I guess thats the price you pay to play in Silicon Valley.

Good course. Wish the greens ran true. Overall very well kept. The staff is awesome. The best I have come across in the area.
Bethel Island Club, The
Played On 10/8/2012NICE COURSE FOR BEGINNERS. EASY TO FIND YOUR WAYWARD SHOTS. IF YOUR BALL IS LOST HERE ITS TRULY LOST SO YOU DONT HAVE TO WASTE YOUR TIME LOOKING.
I'VE PLAYED HERE 3 TIMES NOW. IF THE PRICE IS UNDER $20 ITS WORTH THE DRIVE.
If you play once a week you would know that in March most courses had flooding problems. Therefore, you can't cut the grass. Your critique has an unfair ring to it and I wonder what the real problem is.
