Wonderfully maintained course. Super layout with many varied golf challenges. Excellent Clubhouse. Staff, friendly and efficient. Had a great day and would recommend this course to anyone who wants more than just a walk in the park. Also, we played in under 4 hours.

Legend Course crosses Tahquitz Creek wash six times in 18 holes. Wash is currently dry and has been seeded with grass for the crossings. Crossings require (depending on hole) 160 to 200 yd carry to reach fairway. Tough for most women. Course is well maintained, fairways, tees, bunkers, greens and rough all in good shape. Starters are friendly, informative and efficient. Course was full today. Waited on several holes but still managed to finish in 4 1/2 hours. Arrived in clubhouse at 5:03 pm to find that the kitchen closes at 5 pm. Nothing to eat except packaged sandwiches. So we headed out to find an off property restaurant for dinner. Will not be going back as there are better course layouts and clubhouse amenities in the Valley.

Best maintained course of four I have played in the valley, so far, this golf trip. Excellent greens, fairways, rough and tees. Bunkers have lots of sand and are well raked. Very enjoyable round on a great golf course. Congratulations to all staff for providing such a great experience. We will definitely be back.

Well maintained course, rough is dormant grass. Fairways nicely groomed and watered, greens smooth and fast. Great design with lots of uneven lies. Nice course with some very interesting challenges. Played in 4 hours. Would recommend.

Played round in 4 hours and 15 minutes following a tournament. Backed up at several tee boxes with group ahead, then joined by group behind as group ahead walked off tee. Greens were in excellent condition, fairways good and tee boxes great. Rough is poor, with bare spots and waste sand areas had lots of weeds. At least two of the water hazards had no water, just bare baked out mud and black plastic liner, as well as, exposed broken concrete sections. Looked like the empty ponds had been that way for some time (long enough to grow lots of weeds). Hole 18 is quirky finishing hole, elevated tee down to peninsula landing area then sharp dog leg left, over water, to green. Women have difficulty crossing water to green. Bunkers had plenty of sand. Had nice meal in clubhouse and was served by nice personable young lady. I would have rated course higher if rough was in better condition and the neglected ponds had water in them. Lots of other courses to chose from in the valley.

Very well designed course that as been neglected for awhile. Weeds here and there in rough. Very tight lies on thin fairways. Many well placed bunkers. However, no sand in the many bunkers l found myself in today. Ironic, in that the course is built in an area of natural sand dunes. Bunkers were hard pan, several had standing water and muddy lies. Sand wedge just bounces behind ball without digging in. So....if you are going to play here....stay out of the bunkers. Greens and tees were good.

Great golf course, interesting layout, well looked after, pleasant staff. Great place to play. Keep up the good work!

Course is well maintained. People are friendly. Food is good. Price is reasonable. Interesting layout with nice water features and true greens. Give it a try!

Course fairways had been vertically mowed recently and sand top dressing was being applied as we played through. Some very loud noise from the fans the greenskeepers were towing to blow away excess debris. All temporary issues as we went along. Otherwise, course is in its usual excellent shape for Spring!

Played Rattler/Roadrunner today. Golf course is in very good condition. Fairways are like lush green carpets. Greens are fast an true. Tee boxes excellent. This golf complex is a must do on any serious golfer’s bucket list! I have been golfing for 40 years and have never golfed a more challenging or difficult 9 than “The Roadrunner”. Pick your tees wisely as this course will eat off line shots all day long. Roadrunner requires several long carries off tees over desert cacti to get to fairways. Wonderful experience if you have your “A” game, not so much if you have your “B” or (heaven help you) your “C” game. A real Roadrunner even showed up on the Clubhouse patio for our “Happy Hour” Experience!

Course is in excellent shape, tees, green, fairways are all good. Do not let closed driving range get you down. Range condition is no reflection on course conditions. Had a great round on some challenging holes. Bring your “A” game because it is “Target Golf” and hard on balls if you are not a straight shooter! Some very narrow fairways to challenge you. Excellent course! A real value in today’s golf market!

Greens and green aprons are in very good shape. It would appear that management is concentrating their resources in this area. Sadly, fairways are a different issue, very thin turf with weeds growing up above the grass. Rough is bare packed dirt in a lot of cases. My best description of the fairways is over grazed pasture. El Rio Clubhouse and other structures have been in place along time and show their age. Maybe some more money in the maintenance budget would help with fairways etc. However, finance for Municipal Courses is what it is. I would not mind paying higher green fees if course was in better condition. However, as it is, I will not be back.

Course is in great shape. Greens are very fast. Views are awesome and pace was excellent. Played in 3 hours and 45 minutes. Will be playing again.

First time in Sandestin. Course is an excellent design. Each hole unique. Lots of challenges and excellent views. Pleasure to play. Course grass is currently dormant due to season but very playable with excellent greens. Have straight shots or equip your golf balls with life jackets. Had a fun day! Would definitely play again! $2 draft beers post round were good too!

On holiday from Canada, really enjoyed the course today. Brand new golf cart. Spotless condition. Course has interesting variety of holes. No bunkers required as there is plenty of water to deal with. Greens were in great condition, fairways as well. Unfortunately not many golfers. Too bad as Cimarron National is in great shape!

Greens are smooth and true. Fairways in great shape. Some narrow holes. Fun to play. Pace for our threesome was 3 1/2 hours day we played.

Have golfed here several times.....last round only took 2 hours 40 minutes! Great course in good shape. Greens a bit slow but once you get familiar with them, no problem. Great value on Golf Now!

Loved the course. Excellent playing condition. Although bunkers could use more sand in places. Our foursome played in 3 3/4 hours, so Pace was good.

Played with another single. Pace was great, played in 3 1/2 hours behind a threesome. Course conditions were prime the day we played. Greens were pristine. Loved the out and up for 9 then the down and in for 9 layout. Would highly recommend this course!
